I am a little more worried now, with how many HC and OC interviews have occurred, that the Chiefs aren’t going to make any changes. AFAIK they’re one of the only organizations to not conduct any interviews for OC. 😬
On a separate note, I’m starting to be more on board with the idea of Caleb Downs to the Chiefs at 9. With how I expect the board to fall he could be the only true blue chip player left. Though personally Woods is still my #1 target because he’s the only DT worth a damn.
If the Chiefs have another bad or disappointing season this year under Andy Reid, I think there will be more calls for Reid’s job but Clark Hunt will allow him to coach as long as he wants in Kansas City. Just the type of owner Hunt is. Maybe Reid would recognize he needs to call it a career himself, but I highly doubt it.
It’ll be interesting to see if Mahomes tries to force his way out in that situation. I doubt he’d want to waste the prime of his career.
