  2. tbh this is the best take i've seen on this season, i'm so over people being babies about us having a bad year. it happens to every team and we have no control over it, we might as well try and have some fun while the stakes are low.

  3. I don’t think I mind the losing, I don’t like being at the bottom but if the coaching team and management staff just focus on building a good culture in the locker room and a roster with a bit more depth that can compete next year I’ll survive this season.

  6. Doesn't make sense to fire sale every viable asset for picks this season. Moving veterans to contender teams for later 1st round picks won't help a rebuild. Gotta be patient and make moves next season as well. The "rebuild" needs to last through next season as well. As painful as that prospect is. Nucks need two seasons of top 5 1st round picks, plus whatever they can add by moving assets.

    Next year's draft will also be good.

  10. Management had its hands tied since the Twins. it"s no wonder the Canucks are this bad, just rebuild through draft, bring up players, know what you have and trade for more picks. FIRE THEM ALL and get a owner who wants to win not be mediocre.

  12. I can stand the loses. I have seen too many lost seasons where the have sold their future to the wind in the vain hopes of making the playoffs. If I could go back in time to 2021 and NOT trade Loui Eriksson, Antoine Roussel, and Jay Beagle, for Garland and OEL. Garland turned out pretty good but OEL just compounded their problems, and they lost the draft pick that took Dylan Guenther. Then in order to dump OEL who sucked ( two years, seven goals) they had to swallow a ton of cap space on the buyout. Only to see him sign as a free agent and win the cup with Florida in 2024. Then he signed as a free agent with Toronto where he currently has as many points as EP40.
    They should have just sucked it up for the year 2021-22, and they could have let all those bad contracts just expire. They didn't make the playoffs in 2022 anyway, so what was the point?

    Even if he was injured, having a casual skate with his wife at an iconic rink… Ooohhhh so dangerous, so unprofessional. What a terrible human being he must be.

  19. Step 1 – Move the OFFENSIVE Manny Malholtra up to the NHL as Head Coach and move Adam Foote back to assistant

    Step 2 – follow through and focus on development this season, maybe trade or maybe don't, doesn't really matter much.

    Step 3 – Gavin McKenna.
