Joe Lacob wants to buy the Padres. Forbes is already talking about relocation and it’s only a rumor at this point.

  1. Meanwhile MLB is going to have to pony up so much extra cash to help Fisher build the Vegas stadium because no investors want to touch it.

  2. Forbes is just seizing on this for clicks, there’s 0.000000% chance the Padres are moved.

  3. I wouldn’t want to upheave the Padres just so there can be an Oakland team again

  4. Lacob would’ve been amazing, looking at the Warriors now compared to 14-15 years ago that franchise is unrecognizable. FJF

  5. I moved to San Diego before the last season in Oakland. The Padres have become my team especially with the move out of Oakland. I can’t go through this again I just can’t.

  6. MLB let Fisher destroy his fanbase from the inside, tho. knowing fans chanted how much they hated the owner

  7. Considering that petco park is more than serviceable, just like PNC park, would love to see the excuse. Fisher takes all the hits, but the Pirates are right behind.

  8. It would be just like MLB to replace the A’s with a team that sells out games all the time.

  9. Going to call them the Los Angeles Padres because every pro team down south has to have LA in their name for marketing purposes.
