Tonight's game officially marks the end of the 1st half of the season. Share your thoughts, concerns, grades, gripes, expectations for the second half, whatever you want.
If I had to grade the team, considering their record, wins over quality teams, injuries and youth/inexperience, I find it hard to give them anything below an A-minus.
That said, there's a ton of work left to do in a loaded west, and I'll be looking forward to how Mitch and the guys handle the 2nd half of the season, GSG.

Best season in years. Feels good to be one of the teams to beat again vs. the easy win for most teams like in the seasons pre 2024-2025.
Highlight of the 1st half has to be making it out of the group of death in the cup and knocking out OKC in the semis. Then continuing to go on and whoop them two more times 🗣️
Cautiously optimistic. Preseason expectation was a successful play in scenario and 1st round exit. Now 1st round win and puncher’s chance in the ‘real’ playoffs.
Amazing.
Hope we reach 50 wins this year
fun as hell team
Feels fucking good to be back on the winning side and seeing the long term project show signs of fruition. It took a lot of luck to draft Wemby and Harper, but I want to focus on the culture of drafting guys like KJ and Vassell who were main guys during the tank and now taking bench roles.Â
I had this team being a first round exit and still believe that it will be the case, not for talent but rather the playoff experience shining brightly on these guys. We can make it a 7 game series
No drum tonight?!?
Nothing but good vibes over here.

Feeling great. Young players need to watch out for the fatigue, keep this up, adjust around mid March and let’s push as hard as we can to see where we end up. Nothing to lose.
Keep in mind though, when we make it deep deep deep in the playoffs, don’t let that “it’s ok we’re young we’ll be back” mindset caught you. There’s only one champ each year, there’s no guarantee that you’ll ever be back again, so give your everything to it.
Actually SAS did a great job … No one expect that they are already one of the top teams in Western conference (amidst being injury plagued)…
Highlights:
~ 1st game of this current season
~ the NBA Cup
~ 3-1 vs OKC
On pace for 56 wins, which would be most since 16/17 season, the first season after Timmy retired.
Apart from a few ugly losses no complains on my end. The team has exceeded expectations, growing pains are expected. Just wish my sweet polish prince could’ve worked out for us ):
This team has already exceeded my expectations. At this point, they’re definitely making the playoffs. The only thing I hope for this team to achieve is to win at least 50 games and make the 2nd round. It would follow a similar path to what OKC did in 2024.
Im hopeful for a deep playoff run, they have the potential for great depth. I’m hoping the slumps here and there, become learning points and that as a team, they improve this 3 point problem. Its clear they have the capability to do a lot this season.
Overall I feel great, but we definitely have issues, but its a known issue that can be targeted.
P Good brother how you feeling
Definitely way better than these past few years. It hasn’t been the same since Manu retired. I think it’s great that we feel a certain level of “disappointment” when we lose. The expectations so high given how hot we started the season. I could definitely see this being a 50 game win season
I think that they will finish strong
I just want to say that regardless of what happens from here on out …. I am proud of this team. They have really surpassed my expectations. I didn’t think at all that they would have/tied with the 2nd best record in the west and the third overall in the league up to this point.
As a pretty harsh and pessimistic fan, this first half is an A. Nothing less. They have found a foothold on what creates success and it is only Wemby’s third year. I thought they would be here by his fifth/sixth year. That playoff experience is the next step to catapulting them into a championship contender.
I see pessimism and a lack of imagination here
Feeling the best I’ve felt about the team since halftime in G1 of the 2017 WCF (forever and always fuck Zaza). The dark days are over and this team can legit win a playoff series against any team in the league.
I’m dealing with some anxiety, but I’m going to therapy, staying consistent with my exercise, trying to journal, and trying to focus on what I can control and not what I can’t. Thanks for asking.
well apparently we need to trade everyone according to posts in this sub every time we lose
Brilliant season to date. We fear no team. Whether we can step it up for the finals remains to be seen but we have the roster to scare any opponent, Will we go 28-13 in our next 41 games? Possibly not but I think we are tracking to a 50-55 wins season and if we finish above Houston a top 3 spot beckons. A result like that would be better than 99.9% here expected. Standouts for me are Kornet, Keldon and Devin. Kornet has been brilliant and worth every cent of his contract. Absolute brilliant bargain. Keldon and Devin have gone to a new level as well. Harper looks a great fit, Castle has come on and Wemby is Wemby. Still want to see more from Fox. He has yet to reach the heights he did at the Kings. As for Barnes, great to start the season but he has been a real let down the last month. Need a lift from him. Jury out on Carter Bryant. Yes he is a rookie but he hypes himself up like Giannis and comes out and plays like Thanasis.
Seriously, is anyone expecting the spurs to be top 5 in the West this season? I was expecting 8-10.. The team is ahead of schedule and whatever happens if they get into the playoffs is a win
Optimistic
But please, Mitch, our 3 pt shooting.
Exceeding all expectations at this point and having title aspirations rather than just “happy to be in the playoffs” aspirations is quite the nice surprise.
Losing games finally hurts again whereas the last few years it was just like ho hum
one thing is we are overachieving right now, but there were a handful of games where it could have gone our way
We’re a year ahead of schedule
