Welcome back to PuckTalk MTL for a full Montreal Canadiens post-game breakdown after a frustrating night in Buffalo, where Tage Thompson single-handedly led the Sabres past the Habs.

In this episode, we analyze how Thompson took over the game with his size, speed, and scoring ability, creating matchup nightmares the Canadiens simply couldn’t solve.

We break down the key moments from Canadiens vs Sabres, including defensive breakdowns, missed coverage assignments, and how Buffalo repeatedly exploited Montreal’s structure. 1. Coach K – Your channel is best pre and post analysis for Hab fans…
I mentioned they had to bring their A game… their big guns were just so so… Did they bring their A game? they did NOT… Fowler was ok Hutson does too much sometimes while other times it’s fun to watch … sometimes Slav looks tired – tonight seemed like that to me anyway …
BUT finally – BUFFALO BEAT THEM… maybe we just have to admit we’re not the best… we’re just a young exciting team to watch … Buffalo is for real guys… Atlantic Division is crazy…
Coach – glad your girl is coming home 👍

  2. 55.1 Hooking – Hooking is the act of using the stick in a manner that

enables a player to restrain an opponent.

When a player is checking another in such a way that there is only

stick-to-stick contact, such action is not to be penalized as hooking.

Stick to stick contact……….therefore that was not a hook….. Possibly a hold……..but not a hook

  3. I will guarantee the Habs didn’t watch the show. And I’m sure their coaches do a better job of game preparation than your show does.

Hudson then should get a diving penalty to go with the hook. That’s not a PP, that’s coincidental minors.

  4. If Buffalo gets Norris back next Thursday it’s just going to be harder to win, with him it gives them 2 scoring lines because typically that put tuch with Norris so teams only have the ability to shut down one of those lines, and makes mcloed’s line the 3rd line with all the speed that line brings with Quinn and zucker, and Buffalo has one of the better 4th lines in the league this year.

  5. One open net in the clear they’re not calling it. He has no chance to catch Thompsin from a standstill along the board.

To expect that call is ridiculous. It’s not coming ever in any game in that scenario.

They can’t get the easy stuff right and we’re begging for a call with an empty net. I would’ve been more app to call interference than hooking, but I still wouldn’t even call that it’s a nothing burger. If you had the Montreal player out in front and the Buffalo player was interfered with or hooked, and they called it you’d be streaming at the officials over officiate interject themselves into a very good hockey game for no reason

Anybody who watches the NHL knows the officials are brutal every night they’re awful. It’s the worst of the four major sports awful. There is no accountability. The lead doesn’t give a shit so I expect anything there.😂 never

  6. i will tell you coach kosta but you dont want to here it!!! MSL isnt a leader so raymond stays!!!! example hughes thinks he is the smartestguy in the room , thats why we sign mathison,, texier, when we dont have too & we trade for phil danaut & get softer. when we lack grit & leadership from our coach, captain & anyone we signed so far !!!!!

  7. Sabres had a huge game (especially back to back) and without Norris in the lineup! Electric night for Sabres Fans. Habs were all over them a few times, but Buffalo just bent some and didn't break! Loved seeing 2 young teams and their skill and speed.
