Andre Tourigny has been actually making meaningful line moves/coaching decisions that are winning us games. I personally think he’s still on the hot seat if we miss the playoffs, (and winning fixes everything) but I used to think this team was winning despite him. He’s made solid line changes (9-8-67 was either dumb luck it worked out or he saw something we didn’t but full credit goes to Bear), unlocked more from But, and has the boys buzzing
If we can stay hot and have a good stretch of games going into the Olympics, then we most likely get cooley back after the break? Watch out. Shoutout Bear, starting to win me over!
He was kept in because he wins face offs, and our strategy to bleed out the last couple of minutes of clock was to ice the puck over and over again, right?
People are finally starting to realize that Tourigny hasn’t been the problem
Unfortunately, he’s the only center that can consistently win draws on this squad.
I hope we re-sign Stenny. Him on faceoffs and PK have been clutch at times and not just tonight. I don’t know who we’d replace him with if he left.
Shows the importance of having a center who can win face offs. Haven’t looked at kerfoots numbers this year but if he wasnt injured again he would have taken some of that time.
Headline makes it sound like he gets beaten behind the scenes and he was left out for punishment.
