While I don't like him on the Olympic Team. I'd still ask about Trochek

  1. No one. The team is toxic. Don’t need that in our locker room.

Edit: Old too. Make room for the young guys.

  2. None were shipping vets for roster spots.

The only one I could see even being close would be Rempe as a physical presence.

I don’t need a 30+ year old with term anywhere near this team til we’re running deep in the playoffs

  3. Othman was pretty hot a couple years ago, and I heard he was now on the market. But if there’s a reason for that, then meh. But if the reason is the Rangers stellar development, then maybe he’s worth a look.

  4. Right now? Rempe. Call him up for the 3 or so games they play Calgary, then send him to the ECHL until the next one.

  5. Nobody, realistically

Lafreniere is young and would maybe be a good fit. Rempe would be the funny, dumb, choice. He’s basically a baby deer on skates. He can hit but we aren’t going to be that kind of team. He’d be the odd man out every night.

  6. Not gonna line I don’t watch rangers hockey. I know Trocheck is a good player his basement lately is like 60pts and is a physical presence, something this team lacks, and would be a great on PP with Bedard. Hell Trocheck can be a nice third line center. He’s been getting Selke votes last couple years. Lafrieniere on bedard line would also probably take him to the next level. Cuylle in a third line banger roll could be nice fit.

  7. Lol Blackhawks are selling too. Would be a little surprised if at this stage they targeted anyone over the age of.. 25? And those guys don’t get traded too often. They wanted a guy like Guentzel back when they weren’t entirely sure what Bedard needed to progress. That’s become less of a question mark so… probably just selling. Maybe consolidating draft capital

  8. Are the Rangers only selling forwards? Where are their defensemen on the list? Or if that your way of inferring that the Hawks don’t necessarily need too much help on the blue line?

  9. Got to see Laba play a lot in college. Kid be good if they are actually willing to part with him. Which I doubt.

  10. It’s not a super compelling menu TBH….of course why would it be, that’s why they’re sellers.

Gotta figure it’s not going to be the (few) young guys they’re looking to sell on.

Of the veterans, balancing lineup value and age and contract, Trochek seems like the one they’ll get the most interest in. From the Hawks perspective he’d be worth kicking the tires on but not a high-priority potential pickup.
