I feel embarrassed by the fact that it took me way too long to realise that this wasn’t a screenshot of the isles schedule (which confused the shit outta me coz I was like “uhhhh when did this happen and why is it being celebrated on the isles sub”)
But it is almost midnight for me so pls give some leeway to my stupidity 😭
They are just tanking for a top pick. They will be right back in the playoffs again next year. They have enough cap space to grab a top free agent. This is all too convenient. You don’t have a team with Shesterkin, Pannarin, Mika, Fox, and not make the playoffs.
The NHL will give them the 1OA…just like they gave the Pens Crosby, just like they kept giving the Oilers top picks (four # 1’s in 6 yrs) until one stuck…..
