[Albert Breer] Rams coaches are doing their HC interviews today. • DC Chris Shula’s interviewing with the Steelers, Ravens and Dolphins. • OC Mike LaFleur’s interviewing with the Cardinals and Raiders • PGC Nathan Scheelhaase’s interviewing with the Browns, Steelers, Ravens and Raiders.
January 16, 2026
I know Raiders have a request in with Shula as well, the schedule for that has not been reported.

LaFleur or Kubiak please! I’ll never ask for anything again.
LaFleur would be awesome. Perfect fit for our situation and Mendoza and very realistic.

MiLF is my #1 choice. Would love to see what he could do with Mendoza, Jeanty, Bowers and Mayer.
With so many open HC positions, I’m surprised that only one team has made a hire so far.
Plus side is I feel like we’ve got to be a more desirable situation than AZ. Because at least we’ve seemingly got a plan at QB. Kind of surprised more teams aren’t interviewing Lafleur, though.
honestly, I am ok with a defensive HC and a young, rising OC that can just work that side of the ball and be in line to over, although they seem to jump as soon as they get a good offer
edit to add a thought: i think so much more depends on the leadership traits of the coach than the specialty, after all, the clown that shall not be mentioned is a pretty good OC, but a terrible leader of men
Anyone know how long these interviews are for? I have no idea how folks are cramming so many into a day.
Lots of people are speaking highly of Scheelhaase. I don’t know enough about him- but everyone says he’s incredible
