  1. With the goalies, its all about wins and losses. Dobes lets in bad goals sometimes, but he makes the big save when its needed. Check out each goalies last games. Both had allowed 3 goals in the first 2 periods. But in the third, Dobes shut it down, Fowler did not. Fowler will be an amazing goalie in the future, no question. But not yet.

  2. You are clueless Dobes was the number one goal tender the coaching staff played with his head all he did was will buy got no respect from Marty the coaching and team toughness are the top two problems with this team they will not make the playoffs this year Toronto. Florida and Buffalo will all pass the Habs in the standings

  3. I think Bolduc will be going to Ahl when more players start coming back from injury. I could see him getting traded also,we could get a Coleman for him,or some grit players

  4. fowler doesn't deserve this that being said monty seems to be back and doby just keeps winning but I think kent will actually have to make a decision soon as fowler is a nhl goalie in my opinion so monty or doby has to be traded I'd trade monty while he's playing well but that's just me

  5. Fowler is the future in the Habs' pipes….good move sending him to Rocket for more action.
Monty seems to be back on track.
    Dobes needs games too.
The 3 goalie system DOES NOT work.
Also…..leave Texier on top line…why mess up a good thing.
You are spot on…..at this time of year the teams get into playoff push mode…..Habs can't afford to be disrupting chemistry when they are battling for top in their division.

  6. Let's not overthink sending Fowler down. It was always predicated on Monty playing well, nothing to do with Dobes, if management didn't clearly express that to Dobes that's on management. Now that Monty is back to playing his .902% self Fowler had to be sent down to get him 'starters playing time' too. We can't have Fowler playing 'backup goalie minutes'. The only way he was staying with the big club is if he played so lights out good there was no way you could send him back OR Monty continued to suck. The D situation was always the trickier one as there's no where to send any of them at least not without going through waivers and no way any of them make it through that. Anyway, the boys need to get back on the horse & get back to work. GO HABS!

  7. I really think that Fowler was sent down so he can continue to play and develop during the Olympic break. It just happened a bit early because players are coming off of ir/ltir.

  8. Dach should be traded before he ends ups on LTIR again, or has another right knee injury, which will end his career.

Sad to see Fowler being sent down… but I see the logic. He had such bad luck, twice the team completely shat the bed. Last game, tired team against a red hot team. I believe he will be back. Monty peaked last season, he will keep doing BBB goalie moves and some swimming in every game he plays and that will catch up with him (such as his assist on the Washington OT goal.)

Most important things for Habs — Let's hope that Suzuki, Slaf, Kapanen and Texier don't come back worn down or banged up from the Olympics. That would be a disaster.
