I have a feeling McDaniel will end up as the OC in Tampa. Hope I am wrong and he comes to Detroit and of course it all depends on a lack of the irght HC offer he might get.
No to the f—king no ,Dan out of the end zone orlovski you suck
You better not be killing stones!
Thought that was Shane Gillis in the thumbnail for a moment hahahah
Hopefully killing only one bird if we get him.
Fastest way through a mountain is to blast birds at it.
I heard the Minnesota DC is going to be interviewed by Washington. Would love to have him here instead of Shep!
That OC ain't stepping foot in Detroit — he's got a one-way ticket to Tampa. And the other option?
Hard pass. For me it's Shaw or nothing. Period.
Todd Monken and Tee Martin especially if we keep David Montgomery
They need to take a break from the commercials and focus on the practice
Orlovski could teach Goff how not to step out of bounds in the end zone ! 😂
Does it really matter who we want for OC? Shiela's purse strings, Brad and and Dan's imput and whether their choices will accept the paycheck offer will determine who that will be.
I would throw a dart into an antifa protest and make whoever it stuck the OC before I would give the job to Dan Orlovsky.
Howie Roseman schools Brad Holmes , Holmes is not in his league Howie has way bigger balls.
The OC position for the Lions is more appealing than Philadelphia. Detroit has a cohesive unit that only needs a couple of tweaks to the O Line. Philly has a good O-line but what does the run game look like next year after regressing with the same pieces this year? The WR room will have a shake-up and is already dysfunctional. Hurts has good balance running and passing but his pass game just doesn't do it for a high powered offense.
Enjoy your podcasts, Mike. Love the passion. As for the Lions OC, the most important thing that is happening right now as we speak, is that there is MASSIVE pressure on Brad and Dan to get the selection right. There is no cap issue, so money is not a problem. I'll bet Shiela will gladly pay a top fight coach. That means there is nothing – absolutely nothing – preventing Brad and Dan from getting the right guy. They also have to know that, if they get it wrong, they could be out the door. That is especially true if the Eagles land McDaniel. Braylon Edward's had it right. Just ask McDaniel what it will take and do it. I also don't think the fact that Ben Johnson and the Bears are outperforming expectations this years helps the atmosphere in Allen Park. More pressure. Frankly, I think it's great to see Lions fans demanding more. Brad read his press clippings too much and got arrogant. I don't think we'll be hearing about receipts or seeing villain hoodies very soon. The off-season should actually be fun to watch.
I believe Orlovsky is the "Exception That Proves the Rule" … He's been preparing for such an opportunity for years and has the potential ability to be very successful in his first year (The second year will be more difficult for him after he's been scrutinized by the league's DCs in the off season … He's a hidden gem … Most folks will only think in terms of what has already been successful and choose from that area … That (at best) brings you second place … Jeff Saturday was ill-prepared for the challenge he got, but not Orlovsky, he's up and ready to kick arse, we need to get in on that energy if we do not land a few obvious others ……….
The Eagles just take care of business in a way that the Lions don't. I won't be surprised when he ends up in Philly. No thank you to Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky going to the Lions OC would be stupidity. Top 5 worst QB of all time, ion trust like that
LT Monroe Feelings out of Georgia
Please we don’t any one without mush experience , we don’t want to waste time , enough it’s enough .
You make me laugh, Mike: "You kill two stones with one bird." "It is going to be a salty day for Lions fans, and at least for me." It rekindles memories of G.W. Bush.
The fatigue from going deep into the post season is why very few teams repeat.
Idk about that intro mike 😂
Can't believe you went there Mike lol
Mike McDaniel or rams offensive coordinator,no to aurthor smith
I can’t wait for the season
The lions will screw it up I mike they will get a no name coach
Throw a bag at Mike M. He is very smart. As a niners fan, we loved him. Go get him. ❤🎉😊
Holmes does not compete with any zeal in free agency to get personnel. That requires competing with other gung-ho GMs who are much more aggressive. The hiring of John Morton was a perfect example; Holmes took a guy who was easy to hire, cheap, and in his lap, not the best by any stretch. The lions treated Morton like a development project — another Manu. Now we have a roster and coaching staff full of development projects — not a team full of experts.
Roesman is the GM that the fan think Brad Holmes is. Holmes needs to hit only long bomb dinger home runs this offseason
I think that before we dismiss the possibility of the Lions drafting a guard in the first round, we need to see if they move Ratledge over to center this year, and then we would need another solid right guard. Campbell did say in his final press conference that the idea is that Ratledge was to be our future center.
McDaniel will go with the Eagles. Eagles are just 1 or 2 pieces away from another Super Bowl. Lions are 15 pieces away.
Who says he’d want a coach under Nick Sirianni you see how he acts sometimes
Please throw the bank at McDaniel
I have a bad feeling about this oc situation….probably gonna end up with some no name incompetent shmuck
This is very important me go get MM time for the bag.
This organization is known for making incompetent decisions when it comes to general management for example hiring matt Patricia and the list go's on
We should also b thinking about a solid center wether it b through the draft or free agency we need a good one
Kafka might be the best option for OC. Especially if McDaniel goes elsewhere.
Lets not forget Roseman has arguably the best ownership group in the game led by owner Dan Laurie.. since he took over in 1994 they have four NFC conference championships, 4 Super bowl appearances two super bowl titles, 12 division titles and 20 playoff appearances in 32 seasons.. of course potential OC's are going to talk to them.. would you? hahaha
An interesting name out there that could be a fit for Lions OC: Josh McCown
N i wouldn’t ever take an offensive coordinator from Steelers, the offense has always been old and stale. Give me Mike D. Or someone from the S. McVAY tree Rams and Seahawks have been a pain in the @$$ for our defense last couple of years.
Like the idea of McDanials as OC, but he would end up a one & done. Campbell & Lions best move would be an OC that would be around past 2026…
