He's going to be shot by T99zy when he runs his mouth. He can stay up north of the Mississippi River.

  1. I meaaaan. It would be very Pelicans to do this.

    Ja
    Trey
    Herb
    Z
    DQ

    … would be a formidable starting 5.

    If healthy.
    If at their peak.

Which they’d achieve for maybe 15 games a year. And we’d be so back to … “we’d be awesome if we could just stay healthy and lock in”

    Fuck it. Sign me up.

  2. I’m not gonna sit here and act like my Pels are too good to kick the tires on Ja Morant

  3. This franchise is lost.

Can’t say we don’t have a type…underperforming, unavailable, entitled player that has failed to grow his game.

  4. I don’t think there is a world where this makes us better. But it would be funny and that’s all we really have right now.

  5. I’m not sure who’s been watching Ja play recently, but he’s a bottom 10 pg in the league. Maybe lower. Makes Poole’s defense look passable, and that is very difficult to do. On offense he’s stopped putting pressure on the rim and just misses a lot of jump shots instead. I think teams are going to be fishing for a pick to take him on. In any case, trading away rotational players for a guy that’s not on the rooks’ timelines, has had…. issues…as a leader of a team, an ego the size of Texas, publicly bristles at tough coaching, has an expensive contract, and doesn’t help get wins would be a way worse decision than anything else Dumars/Weaver have done so far. I know he has his stana, but my 2¢. Could still see the Kings doing it though lol

  6. Well, we do have a whole community of folks who like the street life here but they would eat his fake little ass up.

  7. I mean, it completely depends on what we give up.

    Poole and Hawk? Do it

Any mix of Hawk, Looney, Poole, Murray? You probably do it.

Just don’t be stupid and give up picks

  8. He needs to go to a place where they won’t put up with his shit. Miami is the perfect spot.

  9. We would definitely be getting rid of Murray if we did actually trade for Morant. I mean he does have a great relationship with Zion

  10. Well beyond the sensationalism (most would say baggage) that comes with Ja, he would not be a good fit with this team. No matter who they traded to get Ja, that person or people are not worse at shooting this season than Ja. He’s making Poole and Hawkins looking like the Splash Bros. In addition, he’s defense is commensurate with the guards currently on the roster. Unless Ja is completely rejuvenated and healthy, just having Ja on this roster doesn’t make much sense.
