  1. so they could've had Pete for $150M + for 5 years, instead they go for a $126M for 3 years for an inferior hitter, and likely inferior defensive player as he will be yet another player mismatch on the roster trying to learn a new position.

  2. Jays fan here. Bichette was our best hitter in my eyes, but he's not a great fielder and he's almost as slow as Kirk in terms of speed. I think the Mets did well, especially short term, with the only real risk here being health. He fractured a finger in 2024 and missed most of the fall last year from injury

  3. Not good enough and over paid the guy. Makes to utilize superstar level capital on a slightly above average player compared to the numbers that Pete Alonso had. Now we have an infield problem.

  4. I like Bichette in our lineup honestly better than Tucker — righty to can hit for average (and with RISP) is exactly what we need. So many infielders though. I think I like giving Baty a chance in LF, and I'd love to see Vientos get a chance at 1B — it was only a year ago he looked like the next middle of the order power threat and I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

  5. I love this more than Tucker. We need a right hand bat and spent less money. And he’s clutch which we highly needed last year. Now we need to get Robert for CF and put Benge/Baty in LF. And Vientos/Polanco for 1B/DH. Now sign Framber or get another Ace !

  6. The disappointment is much deeper than Tucker. The GM has no feel for his fellow human beings or the mentality to be a winner. Trust the process and ignore the results. Go back to Milwaukee

  7. This move should now guarantee the Mets a trip to the World Series. Now pictures have no other choice but to pitch directly to Juan Soto with this guy protecting him in the lineup. He’ll do nothing worse than put up Otani/judge offensive numbers. Jamie isn’t satisfied David Sterns Shouldn’t even bother with signing anybody else, this guy will do nothing but tear up the entire national league with his bat…………..😑
