21. We need to get a 3C. It allows Roslovic to go back to the Drai and pods line. Also pods needs to call his number more. Everyone and their mother can see that as soon as he gets the puck he looks for Leo. Kapanen is the type of guy I’d love in the bottom 6 as a spark plug.

24. Wow, I got so bored with this game! That said, and despite the team did not played bad, and had certainly several good scoring chances, the best thing I can say is that Connor Ingram has been a good addition for the Oilers' goaltending. I guess the sample size is already acceptable to make that statement.

26. Meh, it was a really good game. It’s unfortunate They didn’t win, but their goalie was amazing. Unfortunately their shots just didn’t go in. I don’t think it’s worth crashing out over.… i’m sure they will win the next game.

27. Stauffer asked Cam Moon if they should call a timeout there and Cam didn't see the point. Well, I think you just call the timeout. You call the timeout and you let the players visualize how they're going to hit the net when they have a wide open shot. These are tried and tested things that have worked in the past, so why not do them now?

30. I’m sad the streak ended to. But what this team needs to do is play more simpler hockey. Pucks on net! Get fancy less often, then it will be less expected.

31. Knoblauch is a clown in how he distributes ice time to his players and essentially doesn't trust any young players. Edmonton has next to no chance to attract young players to play in their market under the current coach.

34. I think the penalty kill and power play really messed with that third line ice time. Like I get savie is a PK guy but Howard doesn’t do either so like I think anytime there are three or four penalties total for either team his TOI will be low if you take like 8-12 minutes of the game off the table. So 48-52 minutes available and then 9-11 minutes it’s like 25% off the 5v5 time

40. Most typical oilers loss when our goalie plays well, we get out goalie’d. And also that jack michaels call was so weird.

46. I was banging the table all offseason to trade for Sorokin. Dude is seriously a top 3 goalie in the league.
    If the rangers are thinking about rebuilding, we could afford Sheshterkin if we trade Jarry, and LTIR Henrique, Frederick. Send the rangers 5 1sts for all I care

47. Call me insane At that cap hit, you expect a defenseman who drives play every night, elevates his partner, and can calm things down when games get messy. Nurse doesn’t do that consistently, yet he takes up franchise-defenseman money, which hurts the team economically and caps out roster flexibility. That contract alone makes it harder to build real depth. Goaltending was never the problem. Skinner getting traded just proved it—he’s been excellent in Pittsburgh, putting up strong numbers and giving them steady, confident starts behind a structured team. The issue in Edmonton has always been the lack of depth and balance. The bottom six still offers almost nothing, so when the top guys are shut down, there’s no fallback. Woodcroft at least had structure and got usable minutes out of the lineup; that’s gone now. Knoblauch hasn’t shown a real flip-the-switch factor, and without depth or a reliable defensive core, this team keeps running into the same ceiling.
