Chiefs are not using their first pick on a wr or RB

We had good WR last year yet Thornton was ignored after Rice returned and the team crashed and burned We drafted Jalen Royals last year yet refused to use him so draft another WR not to use?????? Bain Love Bailey are my wish list if those 3 are gone Peter Woods would be next up.
We need an elite WR1 or don't bother. Not sure I like this mock.
If we plan to use pick 9 (which I hope doesn't happen) the most historically reliable use of a top 10 pick is either QB or Tackle. Other positions also fairly reliably able to excel at NFL level are Edge and WR.
We don't really need tackle or QB, so from my perspective it's use pick 9 for an elite Edge or WR. But I can't see one at pick 9. Therefore, for me, the best option is to trade out or back. Then also trade out a number of the 2025 players for additional draft picks in 2026/7.
It's such a rare thing for the chiefs to get a top 10 pick. It's so frustrating that this year's draft is kind of ass outside the top top 4 or 5

7:26 That’s a very underrated story that I think we (the fans) should be slightly concerned about. Coming out of the draft there were rumblings about Josh Simons commitment to football, then he disappeared for a month of his rookie year and no one said anything… I’m not Hunt Hill Rice level concerned but I am concerned.
The TE out of Oregon is the best way unless theirs a top pass rusher
