  1. I feel the Mets could be a World Series contender I want most of starting pitchers gone all the young guys Maclean sprout and Tong should be the top 3 pitchers for the Mets I want these guys to get 15 to 20 starts see what they can do I believe the Mets may have 3 stud young pitchers to build a team around for next 10 years let these guys play

  2. So now the Mets create an even larger logjam in their middle infield. So now what to do with Vientos, Acuna, Baty, Mauricio? And I guess Jett Williams won’t get a shot this year either? Good bat but wrong position.

  3. Jets should trade the pick 2nd round pick add 2 second round picks 4th round pick you get the quarterback beck Miami will take jets to Super Bowl he is the next drake maye in the nfl beck is the guy to take Carson beck

  4. The 5 million opt out helps both sides. Bo Bichette can opt out after having a great year with the Mets paying him $47 million. If Bo Bichette has a horrible season and declines to opt out, the Mets get to keep him for 2 years or maybe 3 years at 42 million a year instead of paying him 47 million a year.

  5. I actually really like this move, more than if the Mets got Kyle Tucker. I'm a little uneasy that our 1st and 3rd baseman are playing out of position, but I've seen it work. This Mets team can be pretty good or fall flat on its face. Despite the Mets' trade deadline deals being disasters for the most part in 2025, ordinarily Mets usually do well in that department. And I think if they have a winning record by July, Mets should be ok. I think 2025 was just a terrible set of circumstances.

  6. The only way he opts out is if he has a great season in '26 and thinks he can make more by going back on the freeway agent market. I'll take that chance. Which is the bad outcome? That he has a great season for us and then leaves? Or that he has a meh season with us and pockets another $41.5mil next season.

  7. The 5mill is for the Mets… if Bo opts out they can tact on 5 mill make it 47 and he can’t leave… this a solid deal if you ask me

  8. The opt out bonus is excellent. Think about it. He wouldn't opt out if he has a horrible season. He will only use it if he had a great season and that's exactly what we need with this signing.

  9. Did Pete Alonso kill Stearns' puppy? Why wasn't Pete worth 30 mil plus over three or four years? Our 30 plus homerun and 100 rbi guaranteed home grown player. I don't understand why I have to watch Pete hit 400 plus career homers for the damn Orioles.

  10. What a stupid comment.. Bo couldn't wait to get out of TO.. only Mets are stupid enough to give him that money.. you guys suck.. have fun watching him give up 2 runs a game on his fielding

  11. It's not over. Makes me feel better after Alonso left. I know he is a beloved player (I still love him), but there were times where he looked lost at the plate and had long bouts of slumps. We have hitters that are better contact hitters who don't strike out as much. If anything, we'll win more games than last year, AND I know the pitching won't be as bad, PLUS there is time to add one more pitcher (hopefully Peralta)

  12. I’m so horny. Bichette. I always liked him. Didn’t realize he was almost as bad at defense as his father though. Still positive 4.5 WAR last year though. His father was a better hitter but way worse defender. He had several years where he had negative war lol I think his career war is negative. Lol I just checked baseball reference. He has only 5.7 war in 14 years played lol there were multiple negative years. Bo is way better than that at least. He averages 4.5 WAR a year. Better than Alonso too.
