From the last DC hire cycle when Hafley came aboard, people hyped up Harris but sounded like he wasn’t really an X’s and O’s guy, not sure if that changed but doesn’t seem like a viable option.
Word is that Vance Joseph is likely to get another HC opportunity, so Leonhard will no doubt slot in as Denver’s DC.
Covington seems like the fallback if they can’t find another outside hire.
We have two guys on staff, Ansley and Covington, with DC experience. If I had to bet on it, I’d guess it will be one of them.
Personally I’d love it if they got Flores. If he doesn’t get a HC gig they should push for him. If the bad man works for you the bad man can’t hurt you.
Raheem Morris
If MLF stays, Raheem Morris is a likely option due to how close they are. I just hope he doesn’t botch it. His track record of personnel prior to Hafley doesn’t inspire confidence.
I’d give my left nut for Flores
I’m not really fond of any of these options tbh. I can see Matt hiring Raheem Morris.
Jimmy Leonhard
Saleh
Hafley wasn’t exactly on many people’s radar when he got hired so I wouldn’t be all that surprised if we were to dip into the collegiate ranks again
Saleh and make him the Assistant Head Coach with an actual good AAV
As long as LaFleur doesn’t try to hire Eberflus.
GB brought in two assistants with prior DC experience this past year.
To me that means they view one of them as the successor.
I’ll do it.

Besides the big names I’ve seen on this thread, I’d love it if we brought in another new name (much like Hafley was to us all) with that “finisher” instinct we keep hearing about. Flores would be dope, I just don’t see GB paying him what he’ll ask.
Brian Flores
Its gotta be an enticing job knowing you have Micah Parsons to work with.

My money would be on Jim Leonard. I think he was the real choice when Barry was hired but turned it down to stay at UofW.
He’s the passing game coordinator/associate head coach with Sean Peyton in Denver. Problem there would be does he get HC looks if he does well for Packers?
Raheem Morris, Brian Flores (if not HC), or Jim Schwartz (if new CLE regime doesn’t retain)
Jim Schwartz intrigues me.
Anyone mentioned Ted lasso yet?
Jimmy Leonhard
Al Harris. Helps us and hurts CHI at the same time.
As far as realistic, I’d take Jim Schwartz
Joe Barry if MLF has his way
Anybody that really thought we had a CB1 in Nixon drank too much spotted cow. I’m not sure that we had a CB2 at this point.
Probably someone like Christian Parker. I think he got his NFL start in Green Bay under Lafleur before stops coaching up some great DB rooms in Denver and Philadelphia. Or circle back to Zach Orr who was reportedly the choice last time although he stayed in Baltimore and we pivoted to Hafley. There isn’t a shortage of options including promoting from within or another off the radar hire like Hafley was.
Doesn’t Flores have a pending lawsuit against the NFL and would Green Bay really deal with that knowing the situation?
Depends, does the negotiation with MLF get done soon? Then probably internal promotion or maybe Morris given MLF connection but he might get another HC job
The longer the negotiation drags on the more likely it is internal promotion or if talks break down then it gets truly weird and probably ends up with some random college coach or position coach
Hafley leaves, Flores comes in with the opportunity to become the HC
