  1. I think the last drive (which failed) by the Panthers should make the prevent defense not only justified by Evero, but mandatory. What most are forgetting is the egregious number of times the Refs bailed us out yesterday. You NEVER want to give a Tier 1 QB the sidelines or anything deep that late in the game. If one pitches the narrative that we “gave” MS the short middle, then be fair and state what we took from him, the deep and sidelines. Panther fans are accustomed to watching tier 3 qb’s run their team. When face with the tier 1 QB, they wanna blame the defense for letting a tier one quarterback, pick them apart? Yeah, right Bubba have another beer.

  2. For the defense, the LBs have been a weakness all season.
Either out of position in coverage, over-perusing on pressure to miss tackles, a lot of pressures never hit home…
The DBs playing 8-12 yards off giving WR free releases off the line gives away easy yards, especially on 3rd downs!!
Moehrig and ransom need to in together, moehrig and horn can shut down half the field.

  3. I was either hoping for a win or a good-looking loss, and I'm good with settling for the second one. In a way I'm almost glad it's over, because I just wanted them to get a taste of the experience of a home playoff game so that they can earn one the old fashioned way next season. With the inconsistencies of the team, any game going forward was going to be tough, and so now that they've shaken up things by going out there and almost taking out LA a second time they can hold their heads high as they clean out their lockers.

Getting off to a good start (especially if they are "winnable" games) is essential next season, and I feel like they can do it.

Also, I really like the fact that since we are picking middle of the round this year, there shouldn't be too much "so fucking early it borderlines on obsession" draft talk.

  4. Hopefully they keep Iseah Simmons and put him full time at safety to replace Scott. He showed flashes on special teams of his size and athleticism.

  5. Linebacker play definitely left a lot to be desired, that’s an immediate need next season as well as a true edge rusher, Evero’s prevent he loves to keep throwing out there might be more effective then. A true nickel would help too (Smith-Wade is decent but not a true nickel)

  6. We need a good coverage linebacker, resign Isaiah Simmons to play free safety and sign and draft another edge that can get to the quarterback. We got beat across the middle because we couldn’t get pressure and our linebackers and Nick Scott couldn’t cover. We have great cornerbacks that can cover on the outside. If they shore that up this defense will be right. Excited about where this team is going though.
