    Diggs is having a great time here because he feels valued, respected and included.

    I trust Vrabel with EVERY “malcontent” until there’s reason to believe he can’t do it.

  7. A lot of people in this thread haven’t been around long enough to remember AJ Brown crying when the patriots skipped him to draft N’keal Harry. AJ Brown grew up a patriots fan and told the team in the interview he’s always wanted to play for them, but we didn’t take him. Brady may not have left if we get AJ instead, but nevertheless all the discourse in here sounds exactly like the Diggs discourse from last year.

  10. Guy won a Super Bowl and threw tantrums the very next season. What happens when the Patriots don’t give him the ball every play? Too much money for that risk. At a lower price with opt out options for the Patriots, sure. I’d say do a 1 year prove it contract and see how it goes.

  13. I’m not a fan. I get that if he came here and bought in it’s a nice improvement but I’m not sure I’d want to be tied to him for several years if he’s gonna act up or decline with age. Maybe we get him and my mind is changed but currently I’d focus on pass rush and seeing what else pops up down the road

  15. He had an off year but he is really, really good. Two years ago he was maybe the second best receiver in the game. Putting him in this offense would be electric.

  21. i dont love this. Aj Browns yards of sepaeation has gone down 4 straight years and will be 29 by the start of the nfl season. hes never been the fastest and that will go down more. Combine that with the chunk of cap he will eat up and whatever it takes to get him its risky

    not to say im completely against it but the price needs to be cheap

  23. Albert Breer made a great point on Zolak & Bertrand’s Thursday show about how acquiring Brown isn’t beneficial for the Pats to have to trade picks for the same position, relative age, and talent level of Diggs.

  38. Maye should be the start and the end to this conversation. He’s beyond his years in leadership but he’s still developing his voice- there isn’t a player alive who’s worth risking Maye’s growth. I’d rather have 5 receivers who understand their roles than one guy who’s only useful when he’s being targeted every play. It just makes me realize how lucky we were that Vrabel was able to recognize and bring out the leader in Diggs.

    And at this point, we already have Diggs signed and don’t have to give up any draft capital to retain him. We’re still a team in rebuild and need depth, and will need these picks.

  41. Assuming the price is right, fuck yeah. He’s an elite WR who is a lifelong Patriots fan and loved playing for Vrabel in Tennessee. His attitude issues stem from their shitty play calling and Hurts being a bum. Give him Maye & McDaniels and he’ll be right as rain.

    2.) Even if we traded for him, it COULD work out and he could be productive. He could also be a cancer and actually make the team worse.
