16. There is a value chart that says trading #6 to #2 is worth 1000 points. Cle 3rd round pick is worth 240 points. It makes no sense unless Cle throws in #28.

    That Cleveland trade from a value perspective is absolutely terrible and might be the worst value in trade that I have ever seen. If you go back to the old value chart — the #2 pick is 2600 pts. The Browns #6 pick is 1600 pts and their 3rd round pick is valued at 240 pts. Cleveland would have to make up another 760 pts. If Cleveland threw in their 2nd round pick (#39) which is valued at 510 pts. That would get them to 2350 pts and would still need to compensate us with an additional picks

    What would make sense would be the following

    Jets Receive
    2026 1st Rnd #6 (1600 pts)
    2026 1st Rnd #28 (660 pts)
    2026 2nd Rnd #39 (510 pts) * Or Next Year's 2027 Cleveland 1st Rnd pick *
    Tot value: 2770 pts

    Cleveland Receives
    2026 1st Rnd #2 (2600 pts)
    2026 4th Rnd #103 (88 pts)
    2027 3rd Rnd pick (estimated 75pts)
    Tot value: 2763 pts

29. Jets should keep accumulating high picks.. OL is being built well. Te, Wr1. If we don't leave this draft with at least 1 extra 2027 1st and 2nd, it is criminal. 1 more miserable season. 2027 will have the most draft capital in history (value of picks), have the most cap space, (least dead space), and this time we can draft a qb, and still have enough draft capital to get a haul for some other qb trade ups, and stock up 2028 picks and players. It will take something this drastic to flip the narrative to one of excitement where players want to come. I have waited my whole life for a Jets juggernaut, this is how we get there. Dallas and Indy collapses are always a possibility, so 3 top 10 picks in a qb heavy draft are Haley's comet. We don't want a qb this year, need need to start the rookie qb contract as late as possible while pieces come I to place. Can even get a better Dante next year.
