Miami Heat Reportedly Don’t Want To Go For Ja Morant , Because They Want Cap Space For Stars

Tobin discusses the Miami Heat legends Dwyane Wade (happy birthday) and Udonis Haslem’s reaction to Erik Spoelstra’s callout of Kel’el Ware. Tobin also talks about the report from ESPN that Miami is very hesitant to trade for Ja Morant because they want max cap space available for 2027-28 offseason. Does this even work anymore? What kind of plan is this to get Giannis Antetokounmpo or Nikola Jokić?

  1. Doesn’t matter who you bring in. As long as Bam is on the team they’ll always be a play-in team.

Shout out UD being rats off a ship on Bam, going on TV and saying Chet should be DPOY. Bam will always hold Spo back hence why when Bam is out the Heat are their best 6-2 cause Spo coaches the team & not for Bam.

  2. born & raised FL resident, Heat have been my fav team for yrs. But im about to truly switch to The Magic. I dont understand the logic or may I say narcissistic organization. You need a star PERIOD. Make a trade!

  3. I don't know what miami games are you guys watching but I can see it Spo knows it, the Scouting report BEFORE draft sees it and warned us about it. Ware is lazy with attitude 😂

  4. I told you that Miami-Heat organization is not going to trade for superstar, that's Miami-Heat culture.in.addition Spoeltra doesn't like to coach big names bcuz they are not going to take shit from him.

  5. Unfamiliar opinion: No stars in this CBA have waited until they are free agent. It’s either they are already in their dream team or be traded to their preferred destination. So that means, this team is building solely through the draft or from the g-league team.

From now on, do not believe any trade talks involving this team unless proven wrong otherwise.

    😴 Good night

  6. I don't like the way Spo is handling Ware. I didn't like the way Spo handled Duncan Robinson – sitting him down when they desperately needed offense because of Duncan's defense (they're scoring on us anyway; we need offense!). I don't like the way Spo sits down hot shooters because his rotations are more important and then puts them back in and they've turned cold. I don't like his lack of adjustments after halftime so they always get blown out in the 3rd quarter. Everyone tells me how great Spo is but I don't see it.

  7. It gets hard to argue for this organization daily we suck I don’t know if I’m just a miserable pissed off fan or not we SUCK everyday it gets harder and harder to watch these games if this was 2/3 years ago okay sure but man I’m just over the bull💩

  8. Man I just want them 2 get Ja Morant, & flip Wiggins into Johnathan Kuminga.. The team will have a similar timeline of young stars.. All this waiting crap ends in running it back year after year.. I think Riley is still beating himself up 4 that year he gave out all those sizable contracts 2 mediocre talent( James Johnson, Dion Waiters, Tyler Johnson, ect.), & we were stuck with them while everybody was trading & upgrading..

  9. I'm afraid Tobin, I'm afraid that this organization is is digging itself deeper and deeper into irrelevance because of the front office. I dont trust them. There's no outside voices in that franchise. It's too in-house. The fact that there is a nepo baby ranked in the front office is horrible

  10. We should take notes from Boston and acquire high value players from trades and not free agency. Why not get a player who wants to be here and John married and if it doesn't work out trade them I'm sure it's value will be higher later than it is now

  11. The NFL is a coaches league. The NBA is a stars league – get some superstars and turn them loose. If Miami got some superstars Spo would ruin them trying to make them fit into his system. Remember LeBron wanted him out after his first season?

  12. Sorry Tobin,

What happened with Jimmy was wild and I was in the same boat of paying him. He ended it crazy and unprofessional. I DO believe he is about winning. I'm guessing they had a discussion and told him they weren't extending him because of the hopes (what we are dealing with now) of draft windows. Anyone looking into the future about draft windows aren't looking to win now. So yes I believe he should have been a professional and waited another year and got traded on the contract year to a contender, but I feel like Jimmy knows he doesn't have many more productive years left so why waste them on a team not looking to win themselves? I'm sure also when he signed his extension that they probably said they were actually trying to contend all the years he signed for. At first I didn't believe this until this first half of the season. We aren't about winning right now. They weren't extending him and giving him pieces to win. So I can't blame a player for wanting to get out. But he did handle it like a child on his way out and that pissed me off. Take the money, finish the year. Request a trade in the off season when it's better for both you and the org. Yeah you did a lot, but it's okay if a business decides to go another direction even after paying you what an aging player usually doesn't get. Finish what you agreed to and get out clean. If you didn't want to play, sit out. Don't hurt the guys for what the front office is doing. That was dumb.

  13. Kel el’ ware is not the issue coach spo unwillingness to let go of small ball is what’s killing us I mean why change the winning formula we had coming into this year to appease Tyler herro return?

  14. Heat management are all delusional and arrogant! Think star players will just land into their laps cuz hes pat riley. Sick and tired of this bullshit and the sameshitty plans they have that doesn't work anymore. Karma is real!
