The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to terms with RHP Ryne Stanek for the 2026 season. Stanek hasn’t been great over the last two seasons, but has good velocity and strikeout numbers throughout his career. I like Chaim's stuff so far. I don't know how much he was involved in the Tyler O trade though. I feel like that has been a dud.

The Cardinals see the opportunity here to help him be better again or they would not sign him. They will not waste millions if they do not think they can help this guy. Plus the Cardinals have to sign someone that is willing to play for a rebuilding team. Especially someone approaching their mid thirties. Both parties think the Cardinals can help Stanek or this signing would not have happened. ✨

Just checked the 2013 draft and Stanek was drafted 3 spots before some guy named Aaron Judge.
