I doubt Mike Tomlin returns to coaching in the future. But i do see a cushy analyst job at the big table with Cowher on Sundays within the next year or so.
How crazy would it be if Cowher came back?

We’re the luckiest fans in the world to have gone from Cowher to Tomlin
Shame on whoever threatened Tomlin’s daughter.
I appreciate this thoughtful message from coach. I wonder if he reached out to Tomlin.
More Popes in Rome…
It was time to move on (like 10 years ago). All the best for his future though.
Cowher saliently speaks from personal perspective to a very important point. Terming it “the addictive part of the arena” is entirely understandable.
These guys are part of a small fraternity of men who have experienced the closest thing to weekly battle in a Roman coliseum that modern society has replicated. The agony of defeat has got to be massively outweighed by the adrenaline rush of winning.
Probably why a lot of coaches keep grinding at it. Your bank account is probably the same or even better doing a lot less actual work in a broadcast booth, but you sure won’t get that same emotional high from being on the sidelines and hoisting a Lombardi.
