The Jets with their 2 firsts with small trade backs, one or two positions can generate 7-8 starters, 6-7- on defense, Total drafted players came out to 17-18 and additional 30 draft picks for 2027. And if they do things right in the 2027 draft they can do even greater things. First round draft picks are worth a lot. A dynasty may be in order.
AG WONT BE THE COACH THE GM WILL BE HERE BUT THERE IS NO WAY GLENN IS HERE IN 2027
I feel like next season y'all going get arch manning and y'all coach going to be Mike Tomlin and have a great staff and will be back in contention…the league knows what it doing to get these bad teams back good because they needed the market in NY
They have to at least make the playoffs in the next 5 years right? Like think about it? Surely in the next 5 years or in btw then
You are giving flowers to Mougey BRFORE he has done anything. S T O P !!!!! He brought in Fields who had FAILURE written all over him.
I like Mougey he seems to have a plan and a vision
I dont question his ability to put the talent there
The real question mark is Glenns ability
Rn if I’m the Jets, I’m looking to get some vets that would be upgrades and help out the youth. Some guys that would make sense in FA are Alex Anzalone. We saw what Mosley did and he made an impact on Sherwood. Maybe having that vet presence could help him out and a rookie. JFM also makes sense as it’s a depth piece and an upgrade. A trade thst could make a lot of sense is Jessie Bates. Most likely a cap cut casualty bc he has about a 25 mil cap hit, and both safeties have looked good for them in Watts/Bowman. If we’d trade for him we’d take on like a 10 mil cap hit for an upgrade over TA22. Could make a lot of sense, but we will see what they do
Said nothing
No GM would ever say those things. He said nothing. This was waste of time
I was at the draft in Kansas City the year we took McDonald and freaked out because we didn't take JSN
I love Mougey so far, just hope trash ass Woody doesn't start messing up Mougey's plans and start influencing bad moves
Seeing what Mougey has done in 1 calendar year makes my blood boil when I hear Joe Douglas’s name
I’ve liked Mougey since the first meeting we saw of him. He seemed to stand tall (literally lol) was serious and no BS kind of guy. He was always answering well and just seemed like a good guy who isn’t gonna take BS from people outside of his crew. Also knowing his scouts all by name just seems like a great Hire
Gotta be honest, when I listen to Mougey I hear cliches and platitudes. The process, analyze what happened, yada yada yada. He got a good haul for the Jets 2 best players, it remains to be seen what he does with that capital. He did sign off on Justin Fields, can't let him off the hook for that one.
I agree they can set themselves up to be a playoff team over the next 3 years. Mouge and AG seems to be on the same page.
Mougey stinks. We are all just wasting our time.
Ian could be a GM , he gets it 🙏😎
Loving Moug. But hating that every team is playing head coach shuffle, and there's so many choices to hire on already being signed while I feel like we're missing the boat by keeping Glenn. I love Glenn's spirit, but I don't see him being THE guy. Bring back Ryan, prod Harbaugh (went to the Giants), Call McCarthy, call the Eagles OC they just fired. I mean…. I feel like we're just kicking our feet up and kicking the can until next year. Get a new coach in, trade the farm away, and stock picks. Strip the entire building from shingles to studs. Like, if we're starting from baseline, Glenn is irrelevant anyway. This is a total restart so keeping Glenn is a moot point. What are they building on? Nothing.
Such a badass intro bro
the biggest question is how much say Aaron Glenn has in personnel.
Our GM looks steady, lets see who we can pull, and go from there.
When they say someone views things as glass half full I feel like Ian view it as a Full glass
beyond happy with mougy
This team is one big large 💩 show.
To be honest, there has always been a plan to "turn around" or "restore" the Jets to glory. Some plans were flawed, others were killed by bad luck, still others were derailed by actions of other teams, and still others were poorly implemented. Each time "the plan" failed.
I'm not a Joe Douglas fan, but I want to be fair and accurate with him. Douglas had a plan to build starting in the trenches. Douglas took risky bets on players with big upsides, particularly in the draft. Zach Wilson, Mekhi Becton, Wil McDonald are good examples of risky bets which did not pan out. Free agent examples include Carl Lawson: he injured his Achilles in pre-season and was never the same player (as a bad luck example, Cincinnati let Lawson go free agent and signed Trey Hendrikson, who produced big time for them. Imagine if Joe Douglas signed Hendrikson instead). Trade examples include Hasaan Reddick: who knew the guy would do something so incredibly dumb. And, also to be fair to Joe Douglas, his final two seasons Woody, er, Brick, Johnson was making all the decisions.
So the fact that Darren Mougey has a plan does not impress me. Whether that plan has merit, and whether the plan is properly implemented, is really what matters.
What matters and Who we need most: God: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit! Jesus Christ – “I Am the Way the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). The devil is a murderer and a liar. Jesus Christ – “He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the Truth, because there is no Truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44). Repent, deny yourself, carry your cross, and wholeheartedly follow Christ Jesus! With Jesus Christ, you have everything to gain. Without Jesus Christ, you have everything to lose. Jesus Christ willingly went to the Cross to die a miserable death to make atonement for His sheep who have faith in Him to be right with God. Even though He died, He is Risen, Resurrected, and Alive! Even the year we live in is a testimony to Jesus Christ… “In the Year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2026.” Jesus Christ saved my life from suicide and for eternity! Get to know Jesus! Read the Bible!!! JESUS CHRIST is GOD, Lord and SAVIOR! Please place your faith in Jesus Christ! All praise to God: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit! ✝️🤍🙌💪🙏
Moog's demeanor has changed a lot. Go see that intro presser. He was the pure "aw shucks, happy to be here guys" type of person. Then look at the end of season presser. That's a guy that quickly learned his role and what it takes. If we're being honest and objective, Moog had a waaay better season than AG did. Honestly, I trust in Moog way more than I do AG and if we part ways with AG, I hope Woody gives Moog a chance to pick his own guy.
You’ve been ripping Joe Douglass and most of the time to a reasonable degree. But the reason why we don’t have any “dead money” after this year is because of the way JD ran the ship. It’s really not fair to tip him for not paying Morgan Moses more, philosophically, and then celebrate how great of a position the Jets are in financially. They are in this financial position because JD ran a tight ship financially
I agree with you but 2026 is already a survival mode for this regime I expect them to absolutely spend like crazy to win now to save their jobs
