They need to fire whoever is in charge of the Power Play
Our biggest problem is the bad powerplay and not being aggressive enough to control momentum
It’s not easy to coach when you are missing basically an entire 2nd line. That said, we are fighting for a playoff spot and if we get healthy, and with LT in net, anything is possible. No need to get super down on the team at this point. Last year we were supposed to be bottom of the league.
I mean poor guy is trying to win with no pieces.
-our entire second line, which was by far our best line has been injured
-stud rookie center is now also injured
-Ovi is a coaching nightmare because he has to play for face value, but is a liability in every facet of the game. 5v5, PP, and rolls over to PK as well.
-our team has very little scoring, so he has to coach for defensive production which leads to lots of mistakes
-our 3C is being forced to be played to try to garner any level of trade value, but he’s just not working out
Feel bad for Carbs? he’s part of the problem. If they are going to run three lines then send down Lappy and Milano. If people are playing like crap (dowd), bench them. Play the young kids. Do SOMETHING other than just put the lines into a blender. and fire Muller or take away his PP duties.
Panthers are gonna be mad tonight too, losing 9-1 last night.
Tom Wilson is more important than we thought. Just brings a whole variety of play to our game. And our secondary scorers (strome, Carlson, Pro, mcmicheal) have not been stepping up as much as we need.
Well if the pattern since December 3 stays accurate we should win this game tonight, then lose our next game which is against Colorado.
I feel like we just don’t have the energy of other teams. Not sure if it’s the fact that we’re a pretty aging team or if it’s because we’re basically running with three O lines leaving them completely gassed by the end of the second period. But other teams keep up a strong/aggressive forecheck the whole game and still skate circles around us by period three. Very frustrating
Name me an other team with 3-4 top 6 guys that are injured and win most games

I’m very uncomfortable watching this team.
It’s a tough situation with the injuries right now. Wilson, Sourdif and PLD are all huge pieces we need to be a good team.
