Sean Payton has three years invested in Jarrett Stidham and apparently really likes him (enough as a backup anyway). He’s going to roll with him, though a Drew Brees – Philip Rivers-like situation would’ve been really fun to see if Brees’ shoulder wasn’t cooked.

Nope. Still under contract with the steelers. Rosters are frozen once playoffs start i think.

He’s still under contract technically. Same case for Philip Rivers technically any Qb even if it was just for the srason or 1 year deal is still employed with that team until after the season officially ends which is post superbowl.
