Report: Jeff Hafley Is Frontrunner To Be Miami Dolphins Head Coach

1. I'm still in favor of Robert Saleh. He is an alpha male which I feel the Dolphins need. You know he would be a major upgrade to the defense. The question with him is can he put an offensive staff together with a top end OC? Those are the questions that he needs to answer in the interview process. If he can I feel he is the right choice for the Dolphins. Feel the Dolphins would be more physical & a stronger willed team under his leadership. Not prone to having his defense give up leads in the 4th quarter as Hafley's defense does.

2. No to Hadley. He sucks. The guy was a failed college head coach , so naturally, he’ll fit right in with this failure of a franchise. Most Packer fans want him fired after his defense’s miserable showing against the Bears last week. He will probably get hired, not because he’s the best candidate, but he and the new GM are bros. Typical dysfunctional Dolphins lead by a clueless owner.

7. I would take Saleh before I take this guy. Ross must not be very well liked. Because it seems he's settling for this coach, which puts us back here again in 3 years.

8. All this HC search process smells bad. I'm sure Ross & Co. will blew it the big one.
   The NYG basically interviewed just one candidate and got the one they wanted. The Dolphins circus seems endless. They will interview the HR stadium janitor as well.

12. The fact that hafley has been interviewed by several of these teams and may be a finalist for more than one of them should tell you a little something about his qualifications just saying

17. We should be all in on Jesse Minter at this point not playing house with your buddy. Business over personal. Minter is a true play maker and has the IT Factor over Hafley. He failed to make adjustments which is Mike McDaniel tendency. I'll pass Go Get Minter JES He has the Winning DNA!

18. It's gonna a joy to watch all these "experts" on Youtube that called for McDaniels to get fired, cry HARD for the next 5 years. Coach McD will win a Superbowl before Miami ever wins a playoff game.

20. This is depressing. I can tell you right now it’s the wrong decision and Hafley will not work out.

21. This is buddy hiring buddy and only the Dolphins would hire a defensive coordinator whose defense just choked in the playoffs and gave up 25 points in the 4th quarter. 2026 will be my 40th season of being a fan of the Dolphins and I’m starting to question my loyalty to the team at this point.

22. Stay positive. Steelers and Ravens didn’t want Stefanski. Objectively better jobs than the falcons. This job is going to require an up and comer who can stomach a hard 2026, it’s not gonna be pretty. The only hope is a real qb who can do everything and there’s no reason to think that a real QB who can develop into a franchise QB won’t be available to the dolphins in the 2027 draft. Now that Grier, McDaniel and Tua are gone there is at least hope.

26. Very dissapointing video Reason , not even giving Hafley a chance. Fact is we have no idea if he is better than a Shula/Minter but you and many of the fanbase are out already. Thats just sad. He is a finalist in EVERY HC opening right now. Are they all "Buddies" ? No he seems smart and a great candidate. Will he work out ? Zero idea , but no big dog experienced HC would come to our situation. Let JES and Hafley build this thing from the ground up , aligned. If they are more impressed at the end by a Shula/Minter/Kubiak/Campanile. GREAT. But i wont participate in this tearing him down we see on X and even here in these comments and partly in your video. Does he have flaws ? Hell yeah but so do ALL other potential first timers. Give him a freaking chance if ge gets it…

27. Reality is 75% of the ppl in the comments had no idea who this guy Hafley was 2 weeks ago (me included), and the other 25% who did have no idea what a good coach hire looks like ,so save your energy till there's something to actually get upset about.
