This shit is so embarrassing. As soon as we overachieved and had a chance to make a playoff push, we get exposed and start losing wayyy too late to tank for any franchise-changing prospects. Mediocrity is the ceiling apparently

I always wondered what it was like routing for a team that just never mattered or ever was a real contender. I’m realizing I always knew. We all knew.
this is what happens when you reward culture and personality over actual skill and performance. we’ve built a team of really likeable guys who nobody in the org wants to admit just arent good nhl players.
i know its hard to look at a guy who’s trying their best and giving it 110% but still performing poorly. you always want to believe that if you give it your all and do the right things, the performance will come eventually. but it hasnt. and for a lot of our players, it never will.
briere and jones have a lot riding on the rookies who come up in the next year or 2. we may suck now but if we suck next year too, this team is cooked for decades to come
People complained about giroux but are happy with coots. G still plays with fire. I don’t know what the hell coots does.
