1. Cubs don’t need Bellinger. Cubs are set. Quit trying to trade Nico. It makes no sense.

3. I’m a long time Cubs fan… Kap you’re stressing me out with the Nico talk. Nico should be untouchable… In my opinion you do everything to keep Nico, he’s been your best overall dependable/healthy player for the last two years. He’s highly underrated and a stud… Better than Swanson, more valuable than Bregman. Show the dude some respect and pay him his value when the time comes. You should be thankful that you’ve gotten a home grown player/leader and haven’t had to pay peanuts for him.

Sign Nico in the off season. Shaw has room to grow as a utility guy. He's never gonna hit .300 like Nico does. 29 doubles and 29 stolen bases last year. Cody had 29 dingers and 98 RBI last year. He helps the team but that ain't happening.

33. Trading Nico just when we start to feel good about this team would not only be a blow to this team’s morale, but we would be worse as a team for it no matter who we add. Nico was our best hitter with RISP last year on a team that struggled offensively in the second half. He was the only one who was consistent all year. Offensively and defensively!

38. Suzuki's just fine in RF! He also has Pete next to him in canter and he can cover any ground that Suzuki may not get to. Both Happ and Pete can cheat a little to their left if need be to help Suzuki, but that's not even necessary.
    I must give some credit to Rickets, who finally spent money on a star. I'll always fault him for his cheap ways over the last several years and for doing absolutely Nothing at the trade deadline last year, when the Cubs were right in the thick of things!

    Kap, you were even trying to trade Nico last season. I can understand it this year if Jed knows for sure that he won't be back after this season.

39. Kap is bugging w the Nico talk. If you going after Bellinger you gotta move Happ and commit RF to a combination of Seiya, Alcantara, and Ballesteros. Cant have an all lefty hitting starting OF.

46. Getting another OF moves Mo Baller to the bench/AAA. No one thinks that's a good idea. Seiya and Alcantara will be RF. Alcantara has to be on the opening day roster because of service time/contract/whatever. Seiya will get a decent amount of DH time too. With all the other GG and GG caliber players why do we care about one position that isn't but is a great bat?! Makes zero sense.

47. Will we ever see Ballesteros behind the plate? I really want to see this guy get more seasoning behind the plate rather than him become a DH only player so early in his career. Even if they do something like go with a 6 man rotation and Mo Baller / Kelly /Amaya are assigned to two SPs to be their personal catcher allowing the catchers to stay healthy and be available for late pinch hitting and defensive replacement late in games for Ballesteros.

48. Need a decent utility of preferably left handed tauchman makes some sense

49. If anything I think the Cubs would make a trade for a top end starting pitcher with more strikeouts like Cabrera.. That would put a nail in the starting rotation as a certified strength! I think the offense is set.
