Garland with RIGHT great toe sprain Grade 1, reevaluated in seven to ten days

  1. Fuck Jabari Walker and secondarily Quentin Grimes. Y’all helped the Sixers’ playoff chances more than your actual contributions on the court.

  2. Could be worse I guess, but still a huge bummer. Wonder at this point, if he’s gotta think about changing shoes or something

  3. Another toe injury???

Has anyone played in steel-toed boots before? If not, can DG be that trailblazer?

  4. Between persistent injuries, salary issues, and talent ceilings being lower than expected, I’m starting to embrace the reality that the core has gone as far as they’re going to and that a rebuild could start as early as next year.

  5. Garland has to drop these New Balance shoes. Slap an NB sticker on some Nike’s. There’s no way you should get 2 toe injuries in a year unless your shoes are made of paper.

  6. Idk why people are freaking out. Grade 1 is the mildest form. This is the best news possible

  7. Probably not the worst thing actually. The other toe was said to be only 70% healed. This might give him a break he wouldn’t have taken otherwise.

The objective is the same as it has been since we were eliminated last postseason: Get to the playoffs fully healthy. I know people don’t want to hear it, but there’s still a long way to go. Sit him as long as it takes.

  8. To me it’s not just the injury frequency, but also the 15-20 game stretch that it takes him to return to form while the team plays like ass.

  9. At least now they’ve figured out how to win and get by without him. Losing Merrill too really kills though because with both him and Wade out we lose the majority of our defensive strength

  10. Glass toe Garland baby! The solution to all their problems… just… not the ones he causes.

  11. As long as we make the playoffs I don’t really care, but I do want him healthy by then. This is a great chance to evaluate Porter, Tyson, and Proctor.
I’d rather have our injuries now than going into the playoffs like last year.
