  1. Tell that to the Phillies fanbase, Harp. Their sub was having a meltdown blaming us for not getting Bo.

“if the dodgers had just let the Mets get Tucker…waa waa waa…”

(conveniently ignoring they have been top 5 payroll last 3-4 years and haven’t done shit with it)

  2. Harper will be a Dodger.

If AF wanted him RIGHT NOW, he could legit get him with our #1 ranked farm system.

Thats how well we’re set up for futurewise.

  3. This is why I think the lockout talk is overblown. Who exactly is mad about the Dodgers? Fans? Sure. Players? No. They’re happy with how the Dodgers run their organization and if we look at the player surveys, the Dodgers are seen as the top organization in MLB to play for. They all want to play for an organization that pays and leaves no stone unturned. These are also the most fierce competitors. Do you know how much more satisfying it would be to Bryce Harper to dethrone a team like the Dodgers? The more success the Dodgers have, the bigger the target on their backs gets. That doesn’t ruin baseball, it’s makes it better.

Are small market owners mad? No. The more the Dodgers spend the more they get in revenue sharing- free money to them. The data show that Dodgers success leads to more people watching, which leads to more revenue and the value of their franchise going up. So who within the game is upset about what the Dodgers have done?

  4. Some of you guys are so overindulgent😭ofc Bryce and any player who wants as much money as possible is gonna say fans are losers for being mad. THEY THEMSELVES ARE BEING SELFISH BY SAYING THAT. How can you then go to fans and speak bad about them for being selfish…

  5. Anybody remember Bryce’s FA period? He got local LA reporter Arash Markazi and told him “I want to be a Dodger” and a few days later signed with the Phillies for 13 years $330 mil. Bryce and his agent played FA like a fiddle and got an amazing contract at the time.

  6. Used to think he was a punk and thought it was funny when Nats got a ring right after he left, but he has grown up and I’ve grown to respect him. Dude has heart and really wants a ring. Maybe it will be with us someday

  7. I don’t think the league really wants to do anything about it; it’s a combination of shit-stirring media and the league throwing a bone to the fans of cheap teams to help them rationalize their not winning.

Honestly, this might be a minority take but: I think teams with more money *should* win more. The teams that have more money have more money because they have more paying fans. Why should we subsidize the product of companies that don’t invest in their own product (which we already are doing, a lot)? Small market teams should have a chance to win, and they do–but it don’t think it’s a bad thing if it’s not as big of a chance.

  8. This has been his consistent take the entire time. While I’m not a huge fan of his, his feelings in this area definitely go a long way toward me tolerating him.

    He is also 100% right.
