Why don’t the angels go after Duran? They afraid of paying him or is it not worth it

  1. He has way too much passion, he would fit the early 2000s teams perfectly. But he’d have trouble playing for the current organization I think

  2. We have nothing to trade for him. The Padres couldn’t even get him for a top 3 prospect plus several other great pieces

  3. Our farm is so ass cheeks we have nothing to trade for him unless we give up our best guys

  4. For what? Why do we need Duran? We need prospects and pitching, not an outfielder with personality issues.

  5. I don’t think we could come up with a package if we tried, and that includes our top prospects.

  6. I think the Red Sox want an MLB ready starter and 1-2 high end prospects. They’d probably ask for Soriano or Detmers, and Klassen or Bremner. Maybe an additional prospect too. Not worth it, we aren’t a Duran away from contending. And then the rotation would be an even bigger issue.

  7. Do they really want a bigot in their clubhouse, dunno if some of the fanbase would approve of the Boston attitude he has adopted.

  8. I have no freaking clue what Art and Perry plans are. Looks like we might be headed for another mediocre season at best .

  9. Dude we need to be signing people none of us have heard about and will be ready to contribute to winning closer to 2030 than we’d all hope for.

We desperately need to fill the farm system so we’re not calling up prospects who have no business being in the bigs but they’re here simply bc we don’t have enough.

I’m sorry but I’m about to have a 5150 if I do another decade of shiny toys and 72-90 records.

  10. This is no disrespect to any Angels fan, but I’m not sure why any Angels fan thinks the team is actually trying to get better and win. What have they done in the last 10 years that makes anyone think they are trying to win?

  11. You mean besides the fact that we have a dysfunctional front office & owner? Oh look a pachyderm in the parlor.

  12. I would absolutely LOVE to have Duran on the Angels, he’s actually someone I’ve been wanting on the team for a while. He’s a local guy going to school/living in OC/OC area. Dude hustles hard, excellent speed, decent bat with some pop. With that said, he would likely come at a high cost unfortunately & I don’t think Angels are in position to acquire him. Could it happen? Sure if Perry is extremely aggressive but unlikely now with Lowe trade & we are short on prospects.

  13. Adding top players only matters when you have a solid farm system and 40-man roster thats missing only a few guys. We have neither.

  14. I mean how hard is for the angles to just find 10 good pitchers at a discoint to add to the lineup?!?
