  14. I would go with Mendoza. With Jackson you need to customize a special offense just for him whereas Mendoza is a much more traditional QB and the offense can be made much easier for his skillset.

  26. why would the Raiders step in now too pay Lamar 's contact now toward the end of his career when he has peaked as a QB. get Mendoza and a 5 year easy contract. easy decision.

  27. I'm not sure how you can possibly look at the current situation and not see that the Ravens picked Jackson over Harbaugh… once Harbaugh was let go, there is no possibility Jackson leaves Baltimore.
    Plus, Jackson ISN'T a one-man ticket to the playoffs – the Ravens have been a well run, well coached team for the entire time he's been there… and he's STILL done nothing in the post season!!
    A team's whole offense has to be tailored to get the best out of Jackson and the Raiders are nowhere near being able to do that. I wouldn't pick up Jackson if he was a free agent, let alone trade the #1 pick for him – that would be the worst trade since the 49ers moved up to draft Trey Lance!

  29. NO. Lamar is 29 years old. He’s a running QB which means his production is tied to his ability to run. Lamar is at a point where he will start to slow down and be less effective. I want MENDOZA, a franchise QB for the next 15 years, not Lamar, a decent QB for 5 more years.
