[Arrowhead Corner] Sources: The #Chiefs are internally reviewing OC options, with Bears RBs coach Eric Bieniemy currently emerging as the top candidate.

  1. This is why I have zero faith in the coaching next season. Re-treads and yes men the whole way down.

  2. If 2026 ends up being another flop due to Andy’s ego bringing in another old face to the staff, he needs to go. People need to stop giving him passes because Mahomes was the one who helped him get 3 SB rings. Remember. Andy was 1-4 in the playoffs with Alex Smith prior to drafting Mahomes.

  3. Be negative all you want but EB is hard on the players and brings some accountability that has severely been lacking the last couple of years.

  4. It was probably always going to be him or Kafka. Just glad they’re switching it up from Nagy because the results speak for themselves

Kliff stinks too let’s be honest

  5. Bienemy left for a reason once before. Nothing has changed for him in returning. Why he’d return is a mystery.

Him returning would be a disappointment insofar as I’m unconvinced he learned enough while away (from Ben Johnson, for instance) to measurably change the nature of the offense.

Mahomes has underperformed for three years now. His sloppy play at times is intolerable from someone who has been in the league as long as he has been. Reid hasn’t gotten him to stop. A former running back will?

  6. I’m probably in the minority here, but sometimes getting the old band back together doesn’t work. We need a new OC who has experience and a track record of running a good offense. But none of that matters as long as Andy is the one calling the plays

  7. Have nothing against EB, and if he wants to be our run game coordinator, I guess, fine, whatever.

We desperately need fresh outside voices. People with a strong opinion on offensive philosophy that comes from outside the Reid/west coast tree.

If the offense looks like crap again next year, I’m going to be done with Reid’s tenure here.

  8. Do y’all really forget Pat was mvp the last year we had EB at OC, and then his production along with the offense fell off a cliff with Nagy…I don’t hate this

  9. Mahomes says he wants new ideas.

Chiefs respond with bringing back EB.

People think I’m joking, but between their inability to keep OL depth to protect him, having terrible WR’s annually, and coaching that is lackluster, they are playing with fire and potentially causing a rift that will be reason for divorce in coming years.

BRING IN SOMEONE FROM THE OUTSIDE OR TELL ANDY IT IS TIME TO GO.

You cannot be this fucking stubborn with how you run an organization especially when you have the penultimate gift to the sport as your QB.

  10. I prefer EB over Nagy for sure but this just doesn’t seem like a step forward. It seems like the lazy, complacent hire. The same complacency that led to us missing the playoffs this year. We need fresh eyes and new perspective at OC. Maybe working with Ben Johnson makes EB have some more ideas that wouldn’t have been there previously. I don’t know. Regardless, even if EB is an improvement over Nagy this feels like a step backwards.

  11. “Boo retreads” “do something new”

Have yall not seen the success the Pats have had brining back Mcdaniels lmao? There’s a reason some organizations bring people back from periods of success. Our biggest weakness was discipline last year, that ain’t gonna be a problem under EB

  12. Pure Hubris. It’s probably time for Andy to retire after 3 straight seasons of the offense underperforming, but Mahomes and Spags dragged us to the super bowl so we’re gonna have to waste another season or two of Mahomes prime before we can move on.

I love Andy, but he was 1-4 in the playoffs before Mahomes, and he’s doing the same shit now that he did at the end of his Eagles tenure that got him fired.

  13. Continuing the trend of bringing the old band back together while the rest of the league evolves. We had a great run with him but we gotta move on man.

  14. “Other names aren’t ruled out” is doing some world record powerlifting there for me.
