2. If the Dolphins ever become a “good” team, we won’t have to worry about McDaniel’s team because he’ll never beat us. I agree Mike – I think Ross talked to Aikman and some of the GM candidates and all of them said “I like Mike but I need my own guy.” With the firing – is there ever a good time or a good way to be fired? I hope if I’m ever fired I’m owed $12 million or whatever it is – it softens the blow a little. I love when Sullivan talked about the weather in our division and his speed vs. size quote. Another banger Mike – great insight. Tom’s a great guest too.

3. Getting the right QB is a huge part of the GMs job – probably at least 50%. But, we may have a Sam Darnold – Jarrett Stidham Super Bowl. That would be crazy.

4. Note to Tom… the Dolphins still play NFC teams every year. At some point, if McD hooks on with an NFC teams.. the Lions, as OC.. he will have his attempt at revenge. I welcome the challenge.

6. IMO… build the defense.. that’s how you beat teams with superior QBs. At 11, get your edge rusher, RT.. or CB. My hope is JES continues to revamp the scouting department. Some of those guys have been there 15 years. They did remove a few of the long timers. One hopes the days of the Chop Robinson’s, Cam Smiths, Iggy, etc. are gone. Reaches.. “potential”… no more. 3 legit starters is my hope. I mean guys that, by their 2nd year would be starters on any top team in the NFL.

11. Chris Shula's Defense was absolutely epic against the Bears tonight. So we're gonna hire the guy who got blown out by the Bears. I wanted Dan Campbell way back in the day. It's all about who is buddies and not who performs. That's what makes winners right? Buddies. If Hafley gets hired after the lousy job he did at BC I'm already done with this GM. I always think most of the fan base, dosent know most of the coaches in other teams, just the "famous", I dont know them but I acepct that, I didnt know McDanaiel, or Adam Gase, or Flores, so I try to read and wantched, most fo the fans dosent know those coaches and the rule the without know them, they just wanted to chose the famous wanted the Harbaugh, Tomlin (we never have a chance with them) and most of them bacame expeert in 1 day, and act like is going to be like Joe Phibillin, yes because every coahces of Green Bay is like him, simply Phibilin preve to be a bad choice like most of Ross choice.. And most of the teams gamble on a first time coaches and NO COACHE HAS WIN A SB WITH TOW DIFERENT TEAMS
