   I like Peyton as a coach, but it's a stretch to call him coach of the year. Broncos were 10-7 last year. Patriots went from 4 wins to 14 wins in 1 season with Vrabel.

7. After watching the Patriots beat the Texans, don’t think we’ve got much hope. Their defence smothered the Texans and their offence, despite multiple turnovers, ran up nearly 30 points. Think we’d struggle even with Bo.

8. Stidham knows the playbook and he is no joke. I truly believe that he will rise to the occasion and play an amazing game for himself and his brothers. The one thing that I haven't heard anyone talking about is the Broncos and their penalty situation over the last couple of games. The Broncos had 3, THREE, 3, yes three penalties yesterday and only I, yes ONE freaking penalty in week 18 against the Chargers. I've been saying all year long that those type of things would be under control come play off time. Also notice that the offense is not only not vanilla, but very much alive. We do got this Ben! I'm sorry but I really don't want to chance it with stidham….its hard to tell when we will be back in this position if I was George Paton I would try to sign Brady….I know it sounds crazy but its worth a shot…id feel better with a Rusty Tom Brady than a qb that's seen one snap in forever and it was a qb kneel…Hell id feel better with Phillip Rivers…I'm sorry but there's really not much of a sample size with Stidham….I've been a broncos fan since the late 80's and I've always been positive when it comes to the Broncos but for some reason I can't get positive right now with what's going on and I know its happened before with players like Jeff Hostetler and Nick Foles but they had some games under their belts before the big games…I would just feel better if they would sign a veteran player…I bet Brady wouldn't want much at all if he had a chance at another ring or try to bring Brees in …I guess all I can say is GO BRONCOS!!!!

18. Who else remembers that the 2015 Broncos got to the Super Bowl on the strength of Brock Osweiller going 5-2 while Peyton Manning was out? One of the most interesting things about Stidham is something few people know. When he entered the NFL in 2019, Jordan Palmer, who was his personal QB trainer, said that he had never seen a college quarterback who came into the NFL who was less prepared for the league by what he learned in college at Baylor & Auburn than Jarrett Stidham. Four years later, Sean Payton chose to sign Stidham precisely because of his ability to read NFL defenses. He chose Drew Brees for the same reason. So how does Stiddy go from a guy with terrible NFL preparation to one that Sean Payton coveted so much for his ability to dissect a defense while hardly seeing the field a mere four years later? The answer lies in who he was mentoring under because prior to backing up Bo Nix, Stidham had probably the NFL's best training possible in terms of the combination of coaching & who he was learning from player to player. Being in the same room with Belichick, McDaniels, Payton & of course now Davis Webb along with Brady, Newton, Carr & Wilson is a graduate school degree in quarterback knowledge. Brady alone makes it the best possible gig for a backup to learn but Stidham is also connected to Peyton & Ely Manning when he was working in their passing academy while in college. Peyton even continued working with him when he came to Denver. Every QB he's been an understudy to has been a pro bowler, an All-Pro or a HOFer. Brady, Newton & Wilson were all in the Super Bowl. So were all the coaches he has had. That's a ton of greatness & knowledge to soak up.

    Now here's the best part about Stidham. In the 2024 preseason, if you go back & watch the preseason games carefully, you'll discover than despite Bo Nix being named the starter, there is little doubt that Stidham actually played better. In fact, a LOT better. Bo had not yet learned Sean's offense & almost every pass he threw was either to the sidelines or it was barely past the LOS. Sean was feeding Stidham his whole offense & giving Bo a very limited playbook to work with which didn't require more than very simple reads. There is no doubt that Stidham is making more money than a lot of other NFL backup QBs because Sean Payton knows the value of having a very good #2 QB.

19. Im mostly just crushed for Bo man… he deserved to fight in the AFC Championship and this just feels so awful. But I'm definitely still confident with Stiddy. He's a dawg, don't count us out just yet!

21. Some nuggets to watch for

    Will Campbell is not 100%. He got a grade 3 mcl sprain. He’s fine to play, but limited. Bonitto’s get off speed could be really dangerous and the fact he got worn down by will anderson could spell big impact

    Interior line is a matchup to watch. If patriots can continue to generate pressure in the middle, this spells trouble for stidham who loves to step up in the pocket. If they can protect that, we will get an offense going.

    Diggs vs Surtain: diggs is one of the matchups I’m scared for because of surtain’s injury. The good thing is he’s not a jammer and the injury is an upper body issue, but we’ll see.

    The biggest thing to watch for if this game can flip on its head is Drake maye’s ball security. It has been a real issue and the cold and his hand size seem to have an effect that plagued drew lock. Nik bonitto just last game was able to strip Allen off the edge and that same thing has happened to Maye the last two games. The defense will take a lot more risk to create chaos, so this should be an interesting chess match.

22. Look at his regular season stats. Once again, look at his regular season stats. Then make your decision.
