I’ll stand by the fact that it wasn’t really that bad of a decision at the time. We could have won it all in the bubble that year, we were good enough at our best. But we choked. The 2021 suns were def beatable too, Milwaukee idk for us, but we could have had a shot.
When teams have a chance to send it all for a chip I think it’s usually worth it to do. Problem is when it doesn’t work out you get clowned on for eons

I do wonder after Kawhi is finally out of the Clippers, would the fanbase still be defending him? Because I predict after LeBron is finally out of the Lakers this season, Team LeBron would be talking mad shit about the Lakers and vice versa. LeBron left Cleveland and Miami on bitter terms. He still hasn’t spoken to Pat Riley since he left Miami.
Most divorces usually ends up bitter. Both sides backbiting or will get brutally honest. Paul George wasn’t as harmful to the Clippers as much as LeBron has been to the Lakers for 8 years. And ClipperNation and Paul George are still talking shit at each other. If Kawhi is finally gone, there is going to be a sector of the Clippers fanbase that would be so bitter towards him like ones who hate CP3, Trez, and PG.
Since Kawhi is still playing for us, some people will continue to blindly glaze him to prove they are part of this diehard Clippers gang (or don’t bang) and believing he’s still our Holy Savior. If you believe this 2026 team is NOT better than last year’s team, then don’t get your hopes up for the playoffs. Last year’s team couldn’t make it passed the First Round.
