starting roster from the first year that I really tuned into the hawks. feels like forever ago.

I feel like the downfall of our team started with the aging of Clint Capela. His rim defense elevated everything.
Damn i look at that lineup and still delusionally hypothetically think those versions of the players could’ve worked. Capela protecting the paint, JC helpside, Hunter playing like last year with Trae and DJ buying in on both defense and off ball offense.
Man……
Hypothetically, who wins in a 7 game series, this team or the current team? I’m kinda leaning towards this team tbh
Still don’t like that we got rid of The Baptist as his salary wasn’t too bad and he complimented Trae well and unlike damn near every other 20/10 guy, genuinely enjoyed playing with him.
While I wish Hunter well, he was never a player I really felt one way or the other. We gave up so much to get him and it just never seemed to work here.
CC was killer for a while, but even at his best, he really was offensively challenged. Kinda hate that there are somehow echoes of that with Dyson.
Murray it hurts to think about as again we gave up so damn much to get him only for him to be a disaster with Trae. Again, Trae was the one who drove the bus to get him here.
Now, we are stuck in purgatory and completely trapped as San Antonio controls our picks. Go figure New Orleans would at least give us hope for a his year.
John Collins was arguably one of our best defenders with improvement and we shipped him away for pennies cause we’re dumb and he was playing through broken fingers. Of course it’s gonna affect shooting. We have never recovered
Why would we have Murray in this?

I hated this team lmao Dejounte midrange shooting us to death, Capela bricking every layup, DNP Dre every night, and JC losing touch from that broken finger and was god AWFUL from 3. Also, was just plain awful on defense with the 2 guard bullshit.
