Did Bo Bichette Just Change Everything for the Mets?
We’ve had a few days to gather our thoughts after the shocking Bo Bichette signing from Friday and are excited about it. We talk about his fit on this team, expectations for him defensively at third, what that means for Brett Baty, and really what it all means for the whole squad. Then we talk a lot about the plan for the rest of the offseason plus some Media Marvels of the week.

GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST VIDEO AFTER JOINING. I trust you way more than I do the front office. I get that people want to be excited about Bo but you cant tell me that defense is the priority and sign a dude with a noodle arm to play 3rd and someone who has never played first to do so. We are not better off with Bo/ Marcus/ Polanco/ Williams than with Alonso/ Diaz/ Nimmo. Ill be over here praying I am wrong.
Subliminal Framber Valdez? 😂
This podcast is literally allergic to saying "and now a word from our sponsor" instead favoring absolute whiplash with the ads. I have to respect your disrespect to the audience lmaoo.
Very surprised at the surface level analysis you boys are giving Bichette to 3B. 1) folks who hit the bigs as SS tend to do well in less demanding positions, 2) go under the hood of Bo's poor defensive metrics at short- he was terrible on balls to his right (towards 3B). Moving to 3B largely eliminates that ball for him.
We see players change positions all the time, often doing so at a high level including those who weren't great defenders before. Your lack of imagination and ability to think out of the box a out this topic is a bit jarring tbh.
I like you guys, but you can’t see things in a binary sort of way. Ideally, you’d rather have a defensive whiz that can hit at every position, but that’s not possible. The idea is to keep improving. Not only the team, but the organization. Bottom line, this team will have better defensive metrics than last year and it’s going to be a better offense as well. I wouldn’t have minded keeping Pete, but you can’t tell me that in your heart of hearts, he wasn’t good for the clubhouse. I honestly don’t think Soto’s great for the clubhouse either, but you can’t have too many of those guys, and they’re surely not getting rid of Soto over Pete. McNeil is freaking annoying to the point that it looked like only Pete & Nimmo were the only ones that liked him. Please don’t get me started on Nimmo’s deficiencies on both sides of the ball.
Playing 3rd base is way easier than ss. Guys who came up as ss and couldn’t play it well move all the time to 3rd base and are often pretty good. I don’t get the big deal
I don’t hate Pete , but come on, dude couldn’t wait to leave NY, he had NO CLUTCH gene in his body , big deal he hits HR’s how many of those 256 hr he has were game winning or tying ??? I’ll help u 4 of them !
This team is 1000 percent more content oriented. Just look at the K rate from their signings and who they let go
No is making the same amount of money that is father made in his career

Such a Debbie downer 😂 just face it, they didnt want pete back.. they knew he wasn't going to take a 3 year offer so they half-heartedly offered a 3 year without making the offer haha.. let's change it up.. gotta try something new.. we are getting much more clutch at bats with Polanco and Bo with risp than Nimmo and Pete..
Pete is not the better hitter. It’s about consistency and being clutch. I’m a lifelong Mets fan, from flushing. I’m don’t get why these Mets fans are so enamored with Pete. Yes he has power, but he’s been inconsistent for so long. Look at 2024, he lacked hitting all year until that Milwaukee home run
Another good point that most Mets fans don’t see is that last year we did bad partly because of the coaching staff; especially hitting and defense. With the new hitting and defense coach, we are going to be way better. Baty working out with Semien recently is awesome
Brodes Sports crashed out splendidly when we got Bo. Worth a watch. I may watch it again.
Framber Valdez Jumpscare
While everyone is calling the Mets crazy for signing Bo to 3rd base…. Just remember, that’s exactly what the Phillies were planning to do, play him at third.
I don’t hear anybody talking about that though.. 🤷🏽♂️
I know this is off-topic, but James pronounces “Kazuma” exactly the same as Japanese people do.
I love it.
I hope they hold on to Jett Williams just so we can one day hear Wings' version of "Jet" play after he rockets a ball in the gap (I also think he's going to be exactly the kind of smashmouth player this team has needed for a long time).
Didn’t orioles fans love Cedric Mullins?
