  1. Baseball needs to say no deffered contracts thats the problem. Also what Trucker and Bo signed for no players are worth that kind of money. Just plain greed. Toronto still has a very good team. We the fans are going pay with ticket prices, concessions with these crazy contracts. The average person is not going beable to afford to go to a game.

  2. Tucker's numbers are not that great and he will miss playing time every season. TBH, I never saw the hype and certainly not for 10/ 350M.

Ask yourselves why Houston didn't lock him down, why didn’t the Cubs lock him down? Cubs especially were glad to see him go.

He's a fine player but let's not make him Barry Bonds.

Likely just another MAGA asshole who used Toronto and NYM as leverage.

    As for Bo…

    – Was he aggrieved Vladdy got his extension last off season and so he carried a grudge?

    – Did he just want a change of scenery?

    – Aggrieved that the effort was for Tucker and not him?

    – Didn't want to return because Okamoto signed? or did the Jays know Bo wasn't returning which is why they got Okamoto?

    – Didn't want to play 2nd?

It's an overpay. I love Bo but him making more money than Judge is stupid.

  3. The only thing that got better for us is starting pitching people out here saying our hitting and relief pitching is better u can't lose bo and it he better u need a number 2 hole hitter I'm not a big fan of belly but just do it's just play money at this point like Rogers prints money

  4. Mets reportedly offered $220m/4 years and Blue Jays reportedly offered $350m/10 yrs to Tucker and he didn't want to go to Toronto as he chose Dodgers for $110m less.
So it's not true that there was no competition….

  5. No big deal fellas. Jays didn't even come close, nor should they have when you see the result.

Vlad is Jay and is a steal now; and his contract hasn't even started yet. Didn't see that coming, at all.

  6. I think they are close to the same as last year. We will see how big of a loss Bichette is during a full season. I know they got to the world series without him. Depending on what happens with Bellinger I still think the Blue Jays will win or compete for the division and get at least a wild card spot next year.

  7. Bo was ready to sign with with the Phillies for 200 million for seven years until until the Mets swooped in so if the blue Jays had offered him a reasonable contract he would’ve signed this year. It’s not like he was asked $42 million along as you guys seem to be implying.

  8. Th primary reason for the labor dispute is RICH teams VS POOR teams, not WINNERS vs LOSERS. Take a look at market size. LA and New York can outspend anyone. The ENTIRE point of the cap (which I am against) is to try bringing about parity. Note that the NFL and NBA (both very rich and successful) have caps.

  9. Bo will be missed for his bat, that's for sure. Still think the Jays have a fighting chance to do what they did last year, however, a closer would be ideal…..

  10. One factor that wasn’t discussed enough in regards to Some of these FA’s is that some of them do not want to play in Canada. Going through customs constantly, playing and living in another country is something that some players don’t want to do. Also some players don’t want to play on artificial turf because they think it shortens their career.

  11. Tucker is good but over hyped as a superstar. Cubs obviously didm’t believe he was worth what he was asking. Both he and Bo seem to be injury prone. Jays will be fine this year. I expect they will be in the mix come playoff time.

  12. Soto's $800MM contract is "ruining" baseball more than the Dodgers because the Dodgers are doing contracts because they want to WIN. Met did Soto's contract to "win" free agency and take Soto from the Yanks. Mets fans were doing backflips when Soto signed and weren't worried about "Baseball" being ruined at that time.

  13. WTF boys if Roger's had an extra 1 billion dollar they could have gotten both of them….com-on boys take that extra cash and look for the best deals out there. Tucker was never a Blue Jay anyways so Fuck him. BO did great things the the club but he is slowing down and he will be in a different league. Good for Bo to get the BAG

  14. It came out that Bo was specifically looking for a team that didn't have artificial turf on its homefield as natural turf causes less injuries. Only 5 MLB teams have artificial turf in baseball including the Jays, it is a thing for players to consider when playing here.
You won't get a salary floor without a cap the owners have said this.

  15. The Jays are a bunch of bums, first they refused to win the world series and let the Dodgers win. Then they lose in the off season by letting The Dodgers take Tucker, and now said bye bye to Bo, everyone was counting on the blue jays but they failed the world.

  16. Good Lads. Bo knows he couldn't be long term with the Jays, and playing on the turf. I've said it for a couple of years now, that I seen this coming. No hard feelings, Bo's bargaining team did a good job being patient. If I remember right, Bo's team didn't even talk over last yr's., Spring Training? Bo earned the right to go to the highest bidder. All the Best Bo. Fun debate Boys. Thanks for sharing.

  17. A couple youngish free agents available I think you try to go after those guys. Suarez looks decent about the same stats as Bo. Fits our lunch pale gang team building philosophy.

  18. The solution to the Dodgers spending is simple. A. No deferred money. B. Increase the luxury tax. C. Ensure that the bottom teams have a floor where they must spend 100 million or they lose their portion of the luxury tax. If that happens, it is redistributed to the remaining teams. This would force non spending teams to re-invest that money.

  19. G , JR to be the leader are the Blue Jays to hitter good run, mixed Steel bases see blue jays not go down this year start 2026 All Star home runs Derby let G,JR count on him he's good deal Biggest job roster 2026

  20. A year ago, 10 years at $350M would have got it done for a player like Tucker but this year is possibly the last for teams like the Mets and Dodgers to go on a shopping spree prior to the next CBA, and grandfather their existing player contracts.

  21. Boys get your heads out of the rut! Yeah the team didn’t fulfill our astronomical expectations, but they still brought in our best free agent crop that I could ever recall.

  22. Fine with both not signing….Vlad is our best player, so I am not sure why I would pay Tucker and Bichette higher AAV than Vlad. Plan B would be Clement and Barger.

  23. I would have loved to get Tucker but not at 60 million because he doesn’t exactly seem to have much of a burning desire to win and 42 mil a year is crazy for a bat only player. I hope they don’t go and make an offer to Bellinger, the lineup is good enough to start and Belli doesn’t move the needle enough for him to get 40 million plus for multiple years.
Play it out, as is, for now, and if needed, go to the trade market.
