In that order.
Bears lost. Guess who’s coming back go town for an interview first thing this morning?
Bears got a bright future Ben Johnson COTY
Absolute doomsday scenario for us in the AFCCG. I guess I pull for the pats to lose in the Superbowl. Because I can’t stomach the Broncos even being in the big game. Let alone if they won it
One interesting thing to watch in Buffalo for next season: the Bills’ longtime oline coach, Aaron Kromer, announced that he’s retiring this weekend. Pretty massive loss for Buffalo as he was an excellent positional coach and had the results to prove it.
If the NFL is cinema, this year has been AI Slop….
I live in Chicago and have been bandwagoning for the Bears, which was cathartic to be invested in a team after our season collapsed. I have zero interest in any of these remaining teams. Hate watching the Broncos it is
Let’s argue:
Chiefs beat the Titans in 2017 playoffs if Mahomes starts. Mahomes was still raw, and we probably get pummeled the next week, but that titans team sucked and he wins that game even without Kelce on talent alone.
However…more controversial:
Alex Smith beats the Bengals in 2021 playoffs. McKinnon averaged 5.4 ypc and CEH had 6 ypc. Defense forced an int in the 4th quarter. With Mahomes in the second half Chiefs had had four punts and one int largely due to Mahomes taking the P option during RPOs. Smith hands it off more, protects the ball, and Reid takes field goals when they’re available while the bengals beat themselves.
Chiefs don’t even make it to the AFCCG without Mahomes so this isn’t in anyway a Smith revisionist post. Just fun Monday discussion with nothing to cheer for right now in the playoffs.
It’ll be interesting to see which AFC team is offered up as sacrifice to the NFC.
