NFL insider, Albert Bree, on the Miami Dolphins:
“The Packers’ defensive coordinator is scheduled to go to Tennessee for a second interview with the Titans on Tuesday, and the Raiders and Cardinals are also looking to bring Hafley back for second interviews. So while this isn’t a don’t-let-him-leave-the-building situation like John Harbaugh, there would certainly be some level of risk (if Hafley is their guy) in allowing him to board the plane to Nashville.”

  1. They better not be hiring a new head coach in the next 48 hours! Halfey is a mid tier D Cord and better not become HC! The overall fan base wants SHULA! So no announcements is a good thing

  2. If they hire Hafley I’m done after 40 years of routing for the dolphins. He will be another head coach in training, we can’t afford that again

  3. Just hire Shula – this team will not be ready to compete this year no matter who the coach is. Give the fans at least a little fan service here. Or Shula is gonna end up in Pittsburgh for the next 20 years and win a super bowl or two while we win 10-15 games over the next 3 years and fire whoever we hire anyways. Rinse. Repeat. This is the fins way.

  4. McDermott was holding the Bills back? I disagree. This year’s team was coached up at the end of the season by McDermott and his staff. Their defense, particularly their run defense, was horrible at times this season. The coaches made them more formidable heading into the playoffs. They don’t have a #1 receiver, although they were able to get old man Brandin Cooks to make plays in the passing game and keep teams honest. They were one 50/50 call away from being in the AFC Championship.

  5. The coordinator we hire for the opposite side of the ball than the expertise of the HC we hire is just as important than the HC and I think Sullivan needs to make the decision on both instead of letting the HC pick a buddy of his. I think OC/asst HC or DC/asst HC with a clause that guarantees he will be the next HC or receive a significant three year cash buyout from the team if they choose not to honor the guaranteed succession.

  6. Never it was Josh bum none QB self. Allen is a RB playing QB. All he does is extend plays, run and throw the ball up. He doesn’t read defenses correctly, he can not get rid of the ball less than 4 seconds, he doesn’t throw anticipating throws, he waits until the undisciplined defense breaks down to make a play.

  7. Rooney rule is racist and a hindrance. Toying with “minority” coaches with interviews with zero interest in then just to satisfy the rule lol. The opposite of it’s intended purpose, get rid of the Rooney rule already

  8. If The Dolphins do not give McDermott a shot how do you know good McDermott is. McDermott has proven himself. I think Miami should go for him. Because he is the one that put the Bills together. Made the playoffs every year. That in itself is amazing.. I am tired of ho hum in Miami. Give McDermott a shot. Let him put his own team together.

  9. So, they gave up a brilliant, innovative offensive mind in McDaniel, that had a top running game with a really bad OLine, and 2 seasons ago had the most powerful and expl0siv3 offense while having a Qb that throws beach balls, they gave up all of that for an average Defensive coordinator? That is the big upgrade over McDaniel? If you trashed McDaniel, how long do you think Hafley is going to last?

  10. I usually agree with you..but not today buddy…the guy is unproven..not the best candidate…hafley is not better than McDaniel was…we're supposed to be upgrading the coach..not just grabbing the new GMs Lil buddy f*** that….I don't agree!!

  11. 3 – Hafley doesn't move the needle for me. I'd almost would have rather run it back with McDaniel so we could fire him and try next cycle after moving on from Tua and putting us in a better/more attractive light for candidates.
