  1. Yes, Matt, Tucker does his best when he’s NOT the guy. Unbelievable lineup. Can’t wait to see what they do and if they can stay healthy. So pumped about our guys too. MLB is ending on a crescendo into the lockout. Pretty incredible stuff!

  2. It's hard for me to imagine blaming the Dodgers for putting the best product out there. We want them to be forced to spend less, give their fans a less valuable product, just so cheaper owners can pay players less? And its obviously not just about the money for the players…Kyle Tucker just took $100 million less from the Dodgers than the Blue Jays offered him, because he wants to win a World Series. The best players don't want the most money, they want the best chance to win.

  3. Pretty gross they oversold the convention forcing people to stand or be out in the hall, and for all that money. Was addison Russell there, because if so, he is the reason they did not get individual intros. God they can't ever celebrate 2016 with the fans correctly

  4. The fumbling of the Marquee network is just pathetic. Ten games (at most) broadcast from Spring Training? So we can get more top ten plays of 2025 or Bears podcasts replays?

  5. Tuckers never been over a 5 WAR player, he has now a constant injury issue for 2 straight years, he is costing the dodgers over 126 million a year due to luxury tax.
That is the most over pay in history.
Good for him to get as much money for his family, don't blame him an he goes to a competitive team that has a good shot to win the whole thing.
He will not be worth anything of how much he's being paid unless he goes 50/50 himself as he's making about 14 million more a year than Ohtani lol

Very stupid, hope there is a lockout as this is an issue. 29 of 30 teams can't pay a player 126 mil on their own.

We need a floor of minimum spending and a cap so the dodgers can't have a current payroll of over 2.1 billion dollars.
Think the players should also get 50% of the income not 30%. Every other major sport gives players 50% but baseball

  6. Glad we had chance to catch up this weekend. Way too many people there this year. Ridiculous that many there could not do the opening ceremony. TV’s outside were useless as the volume couldn’t be heard. I love the Cubs but this was disheartening as this was done to add 0’s to the cprofots.

  7. Even less from Marquee…so how does that entice more subscriptions? If you make your product less valuable, you don't gain customers. How about lowering the price?

  8. Sam is sick, bears lost. A bad sunday and monday. Its very very cold.. i hate this cold weather.. nice shirt matt. Looks good. Baseball pre-season is around the corner.. its sad rockies did not allow kris bryant to attend cubs reunion ect. They are mad at him for not doing well for them..

  9. Cubs failed to resign Tucker and Bregman is a fading talent. Although the Cubs may win their division the even more loaded Dodgers will win it all again. Cubs still timid when spending on star players.

  10. Could somebody please remind us all what the purpose of the marquee network is?
The first answer would be to make money…. but it does not do that.

  11. Careful, Cozzi, your MAGA is showing 😂.

But seriously, blaming "poor" teams for not paying insane free agent prices is akin to blaming people on welfare for using some of the money they receive to buy non-essentials like soda. Meanwhile, the billionaire class is hoarding wealth at a level no one ever thought possible.

For the health of the game for the next 100 years, the Dodgers must be stopped. No idea how it will happen, but the current situation is untenable.

    Go Cubs Go!

  12. A year ago we had no bench. Not one time did a bench player come through with a big hit that won us a game. If that only happened two or three times we would’ve been in the homestretch only down two or three games and five games. The bench situation puts us way ahead of where we were last year.

  13. The Dodgers are the problem . It's an overpay for a complementary piece. It's making it harder to extend PCA or any other great young player. By the time PCA hits FA, the Dodgers might be willing to pay him $100M per year.

  14. Matt the revenue sharing is the problem pal Not something to point too.. Heres the answers below you needed to spend more time digging for instead of being Lazy like most fans & blame owners.

Luxury tax penalties not being stiff enough for teams going over 3+ years. (Penalties Cap at 110% instead of continuing to increase every year) & the lions share of those penalties dont go to the teams who didn't go over like they should… Oh and the FUCKING DODGERS have a clause in their T.V. deal from bankrupcy court that allows them to Cap their t.v. revenue sharing at 80M a year when they should be paying over 100M a year because get get 333M GUARANTEED every season with potential for MORE cuz that's just LOCAL.

And your Marlins example is stupid. They have the least richest owner in the sport. Only worth 500M & you want them to have a 100+Million payroll??? DO BETTER RESEARCH MATT. WORST TAKE OF YOUR ONLINE CAREER

  15. Revenue Sharing being altered so Large Market teams pay their fair share. Luxury Tax penalties increased & lions share of them added to revenue sharing so teams cant buy whatever they want for 5 years straight & small market teams get more money given to them. & finally you have to figure out a way to get the average T.V. money per team up to 70M instead of below 40M like it is now because that's not much at all to spend of free agents every year.

Dodgers are CAUSING the imbalance in these systems because of their 1 Billion per year in revenue versus Yankees in 2nd place at less than 800M. & 330M guaranteed in T.V. money to spend on free agents EVERY OFFSEASON compared to others at 50M. & An Ownership group worth 330 BILLION in the Guggenheim corporation that can pay Luxury Tax penalties up to 200% if they had to on EVERY PLAYER while Steve Cohen the 2nd richest ownership has less ran 50 Billion in total worth so even HE cant compete with LAD ownership… THEY HAVE A CLEAR CUT ADVANTAGE OVER THE LEAGUE & NOBODY CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT WITHOUT RISKING TGE FRANCHISES NEXT 10 YEARS
