What a weird timeline
Sounds like what’s been expected, Panarin is priority #1 to trade, Trocheck gets move if the deal is great and Laf is the “change of scenery” player.
What I don’t like is the fact that it sounds like we’re getting lowballed on Laf, but teams find him valuable enough to trade for.
It’s not that I dont want it. It’s that he’s too expensive and too good at his age. Father time is coming for us all.

I’m convinced Trocheck ends up in Minnesota. Panarin to SJ or Anaheim are intriguing. They have plenty of assets but I’m not sure either team is at the point to be buyers in a Panarin

If a GM believes Laf can be 70 point player, value to be had. Since he is signed through 2031, when cap will be over $125M.

Why even trade Laf? Worst case he continues to be a below average top 6 winger. Best case he finally hits the 30g 80 point mark. At his cap hit with the cap going you will only get a worse asset in return.
Of Laff Kakko and Chytl. Chytl would have been the best player if not for his health issues. He was talented. Laff has talent but its been years now and if he cant break out here he should go somewhere else. I liked Kakko because of how hard he worked his work ethic. I would have liked him even if he never became a scorer. I still think he has some good seasons in his future.
