For context: The Packers were alway big in my house (and now in my own home). I remember my pops pacing back and forth on Sundays on our fat back tv yelling and playing second coach during games. When I was younger I always thought “Dad, why do you let it bother you so much in this moment”. Then I remember watching this game. That feeling I got when we won and all of it leading to possibly going back to the Super Bowl (insert Danny Devito “I finally get it” gif). Since this game the cheese bleeds that pure valveeta gold and as sad as I am with what happened to Brett after he left football he is still my favorite packer to play the game. Here’s to hoping for an exciting 2026 season.

  1. I have this SI cover signed by Favre. I used to love it, but I moved it to my Wall of Infamy a few years ago. Now it’s right next to a photo of El Guapo.

  2. My favorite game I ever attended!! The giant flakes just floating down thru the bright Lambeau lights was the coolest thing, and made for the best atmosphere ever. Saw Ryan Grant at a golf outing last summer, and I talked to him about this game and how he kicked ass. Nice guy

  3. This was a magical game to be at. Took The Bar bus from Appleton with my brother. We were drunk enough in the first quarter when we went down 14-0 to have complete drunk confidence that we would come back to win.

  4. No one brings the energy and excitement that Favre did. An image of him running down the field smiling holding his helmet above his head will always be the first thing I think of when someone mentions his name.

He brought so many emotional moments to my home when I was a kid and bonding with my dad while we watched Ironman gut out wins in extraordinary fashion are some of my most cherished memories.

  5. #4 Exemplified what makes a Green Bay Packer, and exactly what it takes to make a Green Bay Packer a Champion.

  6. You know, if I did bleed cheese, I’d have a lot of cuts on my arm. I mean, imagine being able to have nachos anytime you have a bag of chips.
