That was an incredible play. Caleb / Kmet did a great job there and it is absolute highlight reel material. Sadly will be forgotten as they ended up losing, but could have been legacy material.
But we can’t overlook the atrocious defense seen here. I assume they thought with Caleb on the run they’d start focusing making sure they all contain him? That was bizarre.
That’s some Madden 04 Mike Vick shit
It was incredible. Glad they lost
Was it a great play by them or a prayer that the rams defender answered by running away from his man trying to sell a push off?
You know I’m a lions fan when I was shocked at how quickly they were kicking the extra point. I was like, wait-there’s no flag or discussion from the officials on anything?!
Williams makes super human plays and boneheaded mistakes.
After looking at the play from different angles, Kmet did not, in fact, extend his arms completely when tussling with the defender therefore it was correct that no ODPI was called.
A banger play for a really good game.
#14 will forever be used as a film room example of
what NOT to do in coverage in end of game situations
would’ve been OPI on the Lions if it was us making that play
Caleb’s arm strength is insane. absolutely boneheaded play from 14 to allow that completion though
Incredible arm, but got really lucky that wasn’t picked off.
Going into next season I can now be over my grudge with BJ. Here on out Bears are Bears with a head coach that was at the lions once, not a HC that left the lions on bad terms.
BJ received his humble pie. Stafford go get yourself another ring.
Caleb Williams might be a problem if he stops missing the easy throws and gets his efficiency up. Unreal talent.
I’m a JG “hater” per this subs definition à la I don’t think he’s a top 8 QB.
I had friends in a group chat begging that we had a QB could do this and it was mindboggling. Like yes Caleb does this but he’s a 58% completion passer with turnover issues and has 1 or 2 insane throws a game. That’s not good for a position where stability is key.
just crazy how idiotic people are who see a cool play and think it alone makes them a better player. Same shit with Josh Allen and Mahomes to a degree
I thought for sure Ben was going to go for two and win it. I’m glad he didn’t.
If the db does his job and not get greedy , that’s an easy deflection or int.
I’m satisfied with all the emotions Ben Johnson had to process last night. Getting on a high after that play, then having it all fall apart, and having to think of bad play calls, points left on the field, etc. Maybe some cosmic karma and I’m here for it.
FBJ, FTB, FTP
Caleb must have some unholy deal with Lucifer to pull off that throw.
If Williams played this good the majority of the game, he’d be a real threat.
Best TD I’ve seen all season. I had a feeling he would throw a pick on their next possession with their luck having spent their luck for the season with this one.
Caleb is a badass for a sophomore QB who spent his first year under Eberflus. Seeing Johnson get daggered at home was a great ending to a very enjoyable game
Opi
This is the only thing he’s able to do well
Dude hit the Kareem sky hook and it somehow worked out
From another angle…

Might have gotten away with an OPI on that play but too exciting and fan friendly of a play to take that TD off of the board so I’m ok with the non call
Bears messed up though not shocking the Rams right there and going for 2 because they had all the momentum and just deflated the Rams. Dan Campbell would have went for 4 !!!!!
That’s incredible! lol. I have that ball in the air for about 115 yards!? Joe Montaner had a cannon for arm
Only the 2025/26 Bears could score a TD on a play where the QB scrambled backwards 25 yds and threw up a prayer off his back foot. In any other year, or for any other team, that ball is getting picked off 100% of the time
Pope went to bed after this play.
Speaking for myself, I listen to mute instead of Tirico. And that’s too bad because if announcers are good I’d rather hear it. Too much of Tirico’s over the top histrionics for me.
He also sure sounded like he wanted the Bears to win, well HA HA.
Objectively incredible FORTY YARD FADEAWAY DART. So glad they lost lol.
Freaking double covered, yet wide open. Inexcusable DB play.
This play exemplifies what freaks some of these guys are. Scrabbling for his life and throws a 50 yd rope completely off his back foot fading away…just insane.
These lucky grundles, these pretenders, it’s high time their freak luck finally ran out.
It was more than enough of BJ’s douchebag shirt ripping, childish handshakes, serial killer grins and glares, short-tempered interviews, screaming Fuck the Packers! screaming good better best!
That’s all inappropriate comportment for a head coach. I’d rather not have assholes like BJ and CJGJ on my team. We’ll see how long until BJ’s act wears thin in Chicago.
Thank you Stafford and McVay for driving the wooden stake through this vampire.
Idk I was rooting for the bears. Sick of the rams and the lions are done for the year so why not?
When you rely on luck to win games you end up disappointed.
Caleb Williams has made some unbelievably lucky plays this season. Their luck ran out. The bears were playing well above their talent level for a decent chunk of the season. It’s a scary thought tho moving forward. They will get better talent on their roster. Ben Johnson’s play calling and Caleb’s luck are going to make this bears team a tough match up moving forward. Hopefully we can still hang 50 on them next season.
It was actually the best way for this game to go. Caleb gave them hope, but then crushed their souls. Who he is, but just glad they didn’t pull another miracle out of the bag.
