Man, this makes Lamar’s unanimous MVP under Roman look even more impressive.
Mike you have no idea what you're talking about 😂
Houston put up plenty of points this weekend without their tackles.
We had everyone else healthy for this game. It's a coordinator issue.
Roman a "scapegoat"? They had ZERO injuries with the interior 3 O-linemen, yet NEVER solved the interior pressure. Those three were who Hortiz/Harbaugh/Roman chose to roll with and failed with. Even with Alt healthy, the constant in-your-face pressure was relentless. See the first Broncos game in week 3. Too many "save us Justin" scramble drills in this offense to sustain any success regardless of injuries to Slater/Alt/Hampton./Najee
Herbert is 13-33 against teams over .500 regardless of coaches. Honestly, Herbert would be better served by seeing a sports psychologist to get over his choking problem. He can’t process in the playoffs.
Roman kept running the same plays as if he still had two all pro tackles out there. Yeah, the line was a mess, but he didn’t do jack sh**t to scheme to cover their weaknesses and it got Justin destroyed this season. He had to go.
Florio needs to go sit in a corner and go count something a scapegoat avg 13 points in 7 playoff games with both Lamar Jackson and then Justin Herbert is unacceptable he doesn’t do a thing to help his QB’s and make things easy on them no pressure plans or quick game to help them out and horrible routes that stack onto each other. Like Kurt Warner said his routes are so bad you can guard 3 routes with 1 person. He’s should be nothing more than a run game coordinator never an OC that’s it
There’s a camp that believe they would rather have Jesse Minter as HC
Florio, we're all trying to support you but your takes get more ridiculous as time goes on.
I think Florio is forgetting that the Chargers are right on schedule 🤣🤣🤣 Jim's 1st year they weren't supposed to make the playoffs but did; This year they made the playoffs despite all the injuries 💯💯💯 THEY HAVE 101 MILLION IN CAP SPACE & 5 DRAFT PICKS!!! They have been safe in the draft with great picks but this year they might go after some trades for a true #1 WR & lock down CB. They need to make a splash with EXPLOSIVE PLAYERS cause they have a solid foundation 💯💯💯
Florio, you're clueless if you think Roman wasn't a large part of the problem. The guy is a dinosaur re scheme, play design, play calling, etc. Zero creativity. He was a bad hire to begin with and an albatross around Harbaugh's neck… But it was on Harbaugh – as he was the one who hired him and he simply couldn't go one more year with an abysmal offensive showing in the playoffs. There is now reason to be optimistic re the Chargers next year, but they need to draft better than they did last year (Hampton was a poor use of a first round pick), and do better in free agency (Becton was a bust)… Mike McDaniel or someone of his ilk is needed to fix the offense and not waste another year of Herbert…
I think Florio needs to look up the definition of “scapegoat”. This offense was anemic under Roman for the past two years. The run game was nonexistent, Herbert had the worst seasons of his career, and the offensive line was horrific even with Alt and Slater healthy. Roman was terrible independent of the injuries and Herbert’s playoff performances.
Mike florio has zero athleticism and even worse sports takes. Hey chris jump ship your way better
Of course, Harbaugh is feeling the heat, but that doesn't excuse Roman's playing calling or game strategies.
Wth Florio be talking bout, bad take after bad take! 😂😂😂 Roman was terrible just like your takes 😂
How was that not sabotage what Greg Roman did in the wildcard game? Complete sabotage. Also, malpractice trying to get Herbert killed.
I think Chargers are going after Mike McDaniel for OC. The best way to stick it to Dolphins next season at least. Getting Herbert to the playoffs and actually winning.
lol… that’s the commentary of somebody who hasn’t watch a single game this season and is a Harbaugh hater
Chris made actual points. Watch the tape.
Greg Roman was horrific as a play designer and play caller and OC. He never collected a team that could do the job. He had no idea how to be even basic competent and it was the rare game that he was able to overcome the opposing D. That they won 11 games is entirely on the superior talent of Justin Herbert and co making up for Greg Roman's inadequacies. I'm surprised Mike is saying Greg is a scapegoat, because that shows he's not really followed Chargers football or knows anything about it.
I agree that Harbaugh is probably feeling some heat.
He's the coach with the most pressure next year.
Brandon Staley stunk, and got the chargers closer to a playoff win.
If the chargers either don't make the playoffs next year or have yet another embarrassing first round exit….oof.
If Jim Harbaugh cannot deliver a single playoff victory by year 3, that's a massive failure.
The Chargers needs to bring an OC that knows the AIR-CORYELL system!!!!!
As usual, Simms pretty on point while Florio pretty clueless. Roman, a scapegoat? Really?
This offense struggled to score constantly.
Same this year, except Herbert nearly got killed.
