Definitely could’ve kept this in the drafts
Pete and this one are the only like real “searches” we’ve done since Dennis Allen (and even that time we basically let ourselves get sold on him after one dinner). The JDR search was similarly shallow. Gruden, McDaniels, and AP were basically decided before those off-seasons even started.
Rich was the interim HC, he didn’t get hired as a HC
Jack and Gruden were the only ones that were exciting to me. The others I knew were horrible hires.

This is the most comprehensive search we’ve had, and riddled with a bunch of guys that just got canned. I don’t think we’ve ever had this much favorability with the draft, cap space, and head coaching vacancy ever. And truth is, we won’t see those 3 things line up this remotely close for a long time. It’s kind of crazy.
