I dont understand why everybody hates this candidate, he engineered an awesome offense for the Titans and the Steelers at least had really good blocking schemes this year. Would obviously most prefer to get Macdonald or Daboll but Smith is kind of in the next tier for me
50% of the OC candidates they’ve brought in so far are guys the Chargers fandom would HATE way more than Greg Roman.

Why do they announce every single person they interview?
Not my personal choice. But he’s definitely an upgrade over Roman modern passing wise. Also has Shanahan influences because he was the TE coach when LaFluer was the OC with the Titans. We might also be able to bring in Ledford as OL coach.
Regardless the ranking choices for me are:
1) McDaniel
2) Joe Brady
3) Frank Smith
4) Scheelhaase
5) Daboll

He runs an uninspired offense with bad spacing and misuses his personnel. Idc if he hasn’t had a Justin Herbert at QB, he will not be that different from Greg Roman.
PS if we hire him I’m backtracking everything and Justin Herbert will throw 100 TDs to Jonnu Smith next season
