Brandon Bussi ROBS the Buffalo Sabres of a win in Carolina

The Buffalo Sabres went down to Carolina looking for their first win their in a decade, and looked like they were going to pull it off, before Brandon Bussi had something to say about it. The Hurricanes’ hot rookie goaltender stood on his head on several occasions to rob Tage Thompson and other Sabres’ from at least two, if not three, sure thing goals.

Not to mention the Hurricanes being allowed to tackle the Sabres for the entire 3rd period without a penalty and a horrible call on Owen Power for tripping that led to the game winning goal.

With there being three losses in five games now, should we be nervous about the Sabres play? Joe believes close games against great teams should not be met with panic… yet.

  1. Hot take but I trust Bryson and Metsa more than Timmins (when he was playing) and Kesselring. Just give them a few more minutes if you want to balance out TOI

  2. Only player I had a problem with in game was Zucker , and I like him , but he looked slow today. Otherwise great game. Goalied for sure . Should have been 5 – 2 Sabres . Lets go get the Preds. Go Sabres!!

  3. Thompson had his one big five point game for the month. Now he will disappear for a few. Where's the leadership?? And Samuelsson looked ridiculous on the first Carolina goal.

  4. Would be nice to see a trade, we have the prospects, picks and players to make a move. Just a thought, Nick Leddy is on waivers and is 6'1 206 lbs. for the 3rd pairing.

  5. The best game Bussi has played bar none l. I'm a Canes fan and watch every single game. Buffalo looked like they are ready for the playoffs.
